February's PS Plus Essential games met with a collective “meh” earlier this month, but it looks like some of the titles we'll be getting through Extra and Premium next week could make up for it. Chief among them is Insomniac's Spider-Man 2, which a very reliable insider says Extra subscribers can start playing at no extra cost from February 17, 2026.
That reliable insider is dealabs, a site that has been leaking PlayStation information for years and to my knowledge has a perfect track record, especially when it comes to revealing what's coming to PS Plus. Which is why it looks like one of the biggest PlayStation games of all time will be joining the Extra library this time next week.
That's not hyperbole either. Spider-Man 2 is literally one of the biggest and best-selling games ever released on the PlayStation. According to Fandom's PlayStation sales site, Spidey 2 has sold 16 million copies, making it the ninth best-selling PlayStation game of all time. Even more impressively, Spider-Man 2 is the best-selling PS5 game currently unplayable on any other console.

What else could be coming to PS Plus this month?
Joining Spider-Man 2 on Extra this month, if the leak is accurate, will be Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown and Neva. I can't speak for Test Drive, although I'm sure it's great for those of you who are into these games, but I'm personally even more excited for Neva's Extra to come out than I am for Spider-Man 2.
Spider-Man 2 is an incredible game and you should play it if you haven't already. However, as its 16 million sales show, many of you have he's already played it. On the other hand, Neva was not played by millions of people. Hopefully its potential arrival on PS Plus will change that. A fantastically beautiful game that has been one of my favorites since 2024 and that you could finish in one sitting.
Neva is also another sign that PlayStation has forgotten that it planned not to give PS Plus as much attention to PS4 owners in 2026. This announcement was largely focused on the core games you get each month through the cheapest Plus tier. However, this tier also included PS4 games for the first two months of the year. No complaints, I hope PS4 owners continue to be accommodated, it's just odd that PlayStation would issue this warning and then seemingly forget about it.
