Where Is The Secondary Cannon Target In Chapter Six Of Reanimal?

Finally reunited with all your friends at long last, it’s time to venture forward to see what fresh horrors await you next out in the next area in the horrifying world of Reanimal. Just off the heels of defeating Mother and the handful of Spider Kids she brings to the fight, you and your friends will need to find a way out of here.

This quest brings you some of the spookier sections of Reanimal, requiring you to find and utilize a massive cannon, clear a huge sea monster out of the way, and navigate the ruins of a ship.

Flee And Fire

All five kids in the truck in Reanimal.-1

Activating The Cannon

Just after the fight with Mother in the previous chapter of Reanimal, you’ll leave through the door on your left and find yourself at the front door of the clock tower, the one that’d been locked when you got off the bus what feels like forever ago. The other friends you’re looking for are in the back of a truck by the upper fence, but they’re fairly heavily guarded by armed soldiers.

Reanimal 1

Reanimal Review – An Evolution Of Nightmares

Reanimal is a fantastic evolution of the Little Nightmares formula, with only a couple of hiccups to show for the transition.

Dash to the boxes just by the trucks ahead and duck for cover behind them from the rifleman looking for the noise he heard, then sneak over to the back of the truck to continue on. This triggers the Happy Days achievement for your story progression, and you’ll watch a cut scene before the truck you’re in crashes to begin the next section of your escape.

Climb out of the truck and move toward the camera to unveil a large open pipe on the right side of the screen. Go through and cross this large bridge-like pipe, crawling through the grate on the other side and following this path forward until you reach the control room.

There’s not power right now, but if you climb on a box and flip a switch on the right wall next to the door, the window up front will open to unveil a large stationary cannon just outside. However, you’ll need power before you can solve the puzzle this unveils, so you’ll need to go out the door on the right and work with the female orphan to use the generator to restore the power before going back inside.

The box on the left ledge here can be kicked down while you’re out here, which will break open when it lands and reveal a critter for you to fight for a mask on the beach below when you arrive.

Cannon puzzle solution in Reanimal.

Go back in and use the binoculars on the right to take a look toward the cannon. There are a few boxes on the rock formation into which the cannon has been built, which display the following pattern:

This is the code you’ll need to enter on the command console to your left in that control room, the one with several switches on a control panel beneath a set of lights. Flip the switches to change which light bulb is lit up in the column above the switch until the illuminated light bulbs match the pattern you saw. When they do, flip the right-most switch to submit the puzzle.

There will be a rumbling from outside that clears the left door that’d previously been locked, so head out this way and climb down the ladder here to return to the beach you landed on when you first got to the cliffs that led to the farm, with your boat waiting right where you beached it before.

If you knocked that box down next to the generator, the creature you need to kill is on the upper section of the beach. When you kill it, it’ll give you one of the 18 hidden masks in Reanimal.

Ready, Aim, Fire

Kick off with your friends and sail to the cannon to begin clearing yourselves a path forward. They’ll stay down with the boat while the two orphans actually man the cannon during this section of the game.

Sailing out to the cannon in Reanimal.

Before you land to begin the cannon puzzle in Reanimal, take note of a small cave on the right in the rock face as you turn the left corner to get to the cannon. There’s a bloated body in here you’ll need to clear, but there’s also one of the hidden coffins if you’re trying to unlock the game’s hidden ending.

You’ll need to trek up to the crashed supply crate with the white parachute and carry at least one missile up to the cannon, whose entry door is wide open and ready to be used. Inside, you’re initially unable to see, but set down your weapon and hit the switch by the door to open the window in here and provide a line of sight to what you’re aiming at with this cannon. What you see out the window is what the cannon will hit when you fire it, to make it easier to aim such a large weapon.

With the sight window open, load the missile into the cannon and pull the two levers to the right of it when you’re ready to fire. Before you do, though, you can use the wheel to re-aim the cannon, which you’ll need to do in order to proceed.

Firing at the sea monster in Reanimal.

Remember that enormous sea monster blocking the path through the buildings you found when you first entered this area on the boat from the factory? Well, now you have a weapon big enough to handle it.

Aim at the sea monster in the water who’s graciously remaining above the surface for you, and fire the cannon at it once you’re in the right spot. The sea monster will sink into the water below, clearing a path for your boat so you can finally enter this previously inaccessible section of the water in Reanimal.

If you’re achievement hunting in your current playthrough, the ruins of a home to the right of the sea monster seems to be the secondary target you’ll need to fire on for the Non-Cannonical trophy in Reanimal.

Return to the boat and set sail once more, navigating your boat over into the area where the sea monster had been until now so you can sail down this newly accessible route through the buildings here.

Exploring The Shipwreck

All five kids in Reanimal resting by a buoy.

Boarding The Ship

Sail through these dark ruins and be mindful of the naval mines here until you eventually emerge into more open waters, with the outline of a large military ship visible just ahead. The way past it is blocked by something quite fleshy, so you’ll need to dock your boat beneath the ship and hop out to try and find a way forward.

Before you do, though, one of the game’s hidden masks is in a section of rock to the right if you’re looking at the ship. Sail into the rocky cove to the right and blow up the set of naval mines blocking an inlet, then pick up the mask from a crate on this small beach.

There’s a small crack in the side of the boat you can’t use yet, so with their friends again waiting by the boat, the male and female orphans will need to run up the beach and defeat a flock of seagulls that attack before hoisting up the wall here to reach an upper section of rock. Head to the large black chain for the ship’s anchor and climb it to get inside the vessel.

Use the shipping container below the broken section of fence to safely jump down to the lower floor. Moving away from the camera further into the room, you’ll see a metal girder across a gap you can use to cross to the other side.

One of the game’s hidden posters that unlock Reanimal concept art is pinned to the red buoy before you proceed, though, beside the top of the metal structure with the chain running through on the left.

A dark underwater scene from Reanimal in chapter six.

The door ahead is currently shut, so hoist the female orphan up the half-wall on the left to access a large wheel, which you can rotate to open the door ahead.

Inside, you’ll find a whale that’s missing its eyeball, which seems to be the cause of the blockage preventing you and your friends from sailing onward. To begin finding a solution, hoist the girl up the half-wall to the left of the whale to re-enter the previous room on the platform above the wheel that opened the door.

Diving To Find The Sea Monster’s Eye

At the end of the platform, you’ll find a scuba helmet on the left of a control panel for the chain you saw when you first got into the ship. Interact with it to put the suits on and then flip the switch on the control panel to call up a scuba diving cage from the depths. When you’re ready, step inside and the cage will lower the two orphans down into the water below the ship.

When you reach the end of the line, you’ll be amid the ruins of what looks to be a city. Go to the right past a naval mine and into a large opening in a building’s facade, carefully making your way down a hallway full of naval mines until you reach a door you can pry open to proceed.

Ahead, the camera is quite tight and works somewhat against you as you navigate this cramped, booby-trapped hallway. Walk forward through the room and carefully jump over the book cases in the middle of the floor to cross a gap. March forward through the rubble, go right through the opening at the end of the hall, and jump a gap in this room to continue.

Pulling the sea monster's eyeball in Reanimal.

Go through the opening in the wall at the end of this hallway to find the remains of the sea creature you shot with the cannon earlier in the chapter. Its eyeball looks pretty ready to be taken, so climb up its face and remove the sea monster’s eyeball. There’s nothing else to do in here, so head back the way you came, but beware that the sea monster chases you when you leave.

Sprint as quickly as you can underwater back the way you came, eventually losing it in the hallway of mines you navigated when you first got down here. Head back to the cage and enter it to return to the surface with the eyeball in hand.

Cross the girder again and go through the large door to return to the whale from before, and approach it to pop the sea monster’s eyeball into the whale’s eye socket. With its wish granted, the whale slithers to life and clears the path it’d been blocking so you can proceed with your friends in the boat at long last.

Before you move forward, after the orphans have removed their diving suits, pick up both diving masks individually to unlock two of the game’s 18 hidden masks. The male and female orphan’s helmets count as two separate masks, so be sure you’ve got both before you go.

Run up the ramp to the right and sneak out of the crack in the hull of the ship to be reunited with your friends back on the beach. Push the boat into the water and you’ll be free to sail through the opening the whale cleared for you when it swam away.

Into The Breach

Talking about memories when reaching the Breach in Reanimal.

Sail forward through this area, and you’ll find yourself above the water in the ruins of a city, the one you got a glimpse of underwater while diving in the ship.

Arriving here triggers the Into the Abyss trophy.

Sail forward and turn left at the red streetlight, but have the harpoon ready, because there are plenty of floating bodies in these waters, and while not all of them do, plenty of bloated bodies attack your boat as you sail through this area.

Go toward the bridge where an enemy is standing above watching you sail, and clear the enemies here before sailing beneath said bridge to continue, blowing up the naval mine blocking your path. There are more enemies ahead, so clear them out before blowing up the pair of naval mines blocking a cave entrance, dealing with another pair of bloated bodies coming at you before the path is cleared to sail on ahead.

Before you go, seek out an opening on the right wall of the rock next to the opening to the next area, where you’ll find a narrow tunnel leading to one of the hidden statues you can pray at in Reanimal.

When you’re ready to move on, sail forward through the flooded tunnel, avoiding vehicles until you reach an opening on the other side, providing a staggering view of the ruins of a darkened residential area. Sail forward through these narrow canals and hear the children chattering until you reach a spot to park the boat amid a tile hallway.

Go up the stairs here and watch a cut scene before regaining control of the male orphan. Pursue the creature you’re seeing through the hallway straight ahead, and then follow it out the window at the end here to finish the sixth chapter of Reanimal and officially enter the final act of the game.
