Memories are things you can get Cairn will help add a little personality to your backpack. You can always have one attached to your bag when climbing a mountain.
None of the memorabilia provides any in-game advantage. They are mainly there to look good and serve as collectibles that you can find. There are a total of 17 in the game. Some you get from DLC and story decisions, and others you have to search for. Here's where to get them all.
You can find out what the areas are called by going to “load game” from the pause menu and hovering over the save locations.

You don't have to look for the following souvenirs because they are part of DLC or story.

For the following souvenirs they must be found and acquired.
A place to commemorate Tenzen
You can find tenzen's relic in the tutorial area.
It's on the top of climbing wall number eight.
Location of Alpine Cola Keychain
IN Representative areathere is abandoned cable car station.
It is on the outside broken machine which includes an alpine bike Keychain as a keepsake.
A place to commemorate the trout
Trout can be found in several different areas in the game, e.g like the Waterfall and the Mirror. Just search any large bodies of water with fish swimming around.
Go into the water and press the button on the screen and insert your hand. Then wait until a fish swims into your palm and grabs it. The creature serves as a memorial.
Frog memorial site
Near the large child statue in The Child areayou can find cave. It's inside a frog hopping around.
You have to walk up to it and press the button that appears on the screen to lick it. This will give you a frog memento.
A memorial site for a troglodyte amulet
You can find a troglodyte amulet inside the large statue of a child in the Child area.
Once inside, you can find the amulet at the feet of the inner statue.
Carillon memorial site
The monument to the glockenspiel is in shepherd's campwhich is in the Vault area. You'll find The Vault area directly across from The Child area.
Once in the region, Shepherdess's camp is easy to find as it is the only place around that is lit. While at camp, look for bookshelvesbecause that's where the glockenspiel monument is.
A place to commemorate the troglodyte doll
To get the Troglodyte doll memento, you must build the doll by getting three parts. Here they are their location:

A part labeled as Doll Part One can be found in the Vault area. This is directly across from The Child area. you have to abseil down there and slide around the rock. Then you can find her on a much smaller rock. |

IN Terrace areayou can find a large cave in the shape of a triangle. The other part of the doll is outside that cave, directly below the entrance. You can rappel to it. |

Crystal Shard Memorial Site
To get the Crystal Shard you must first give four of them to the Crystal Cutter in the Palace of Wind area. It is located inside the palace, about halfway up.
When in the general area, look for a set of stairs surrounded by yellow crystals. Go down them and enter the room at the bottom. Here you will find Cutter. You will have to deal with him after the opening cutscene find four Crystal Shards and give them to him.

Once you have the shards, pass them to Cutter one by one. It will give you the Small Windmill upgrade and you will also get the Crystal Shard relic.
Troglodyte badge commemoration site
When you're inside The Dome, you will they came across some markings on the wall and three pots of resin.
To earn this badge, you you must be at least on the second playthrough. Once you are light the container containing one solid line and two dotted lineswhich is the one on the right.
If you light that pot on your first playthrough, you will be cursed and all your Pitons will be broken.
Troglodyt Pennant memorial site
After the cutscene where you meet Damas (Grandpa), you wake up in bed. Exit the room and turn left.
Follow the path around to get to the new area containing the stove. On one of the tables thereyou can find a troglodyte flag.
A memory of a climber
You won't actually find the Climbot relic, so it doesn't have a specific location. You instead you get it automatically by repairing 15 Pitons with Piton Remnants.
To do this, you must get shards by not being able to push the Pitons perfectly into the wall. You then need to enter your tent and interact with your Climbot. This will bring up a menu where you are can turn scraps into repaired Pythons.
