Nintendo said two upcoming Pokemon ports, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreenwon't be on Nintendo Switch Online simply because the company thought it “would be fun” to re-release those titles as special games for the franchise's 30th anniversary. Nintendo has made it clear that it is still committed to releasing games on NSO and has announced more Pokemon titles, incl Pokemon Snapwhich are currently available.
