Items and equipment with you on a turnkey basis

Let's start by talking about how different the key is from other keys. While other keys in most cases open a single locked room, for the key to the Dam Testing Annex, you have two options. There are two locked rooms inside the Test Annex, and using the key in one of them will consume the key, so you won't be able to loot the other room, unless of course you have another key with you.

Before the start of the match on Dam Battlefieldthere are a few things to keep in mind and items to bring with you. First, the most value you get from these keys is during map state. Electromagnetic storm, Night raidand Cold Snap all increase the value of the loot you can get from them.

However, the hatches are closed during night raids and electromagnetic storms, so if you find a lot of good loot, you'll have to mine some active elevators and risk running into another online raider.

For loading, a Looting MK2 is a great choice if you want to run a Light shield set. This ensures that you have 2 secure pockets and several additional slots for small items. In addition to healing and grenades, you should also carry some mines. Shock mines or Explosive mines they can be extremely useful as you can place them near Test Annex entry points to alert you if another player enters the building while you're busy looting key rooms.

If you don't plan on using the key during map state, be sure to bring a Hatch key and escape through the hatch to return to Esperanza safely and quickly.

Once you've uploaded a match, head to the Test Annex located in the southeast part of the map. This building has a medium loot value and aca drop of medical or commercial goods mainly. Once you reach the western entrances, go up the stairs and open the door.

Place a mine just next to the door after it closes and go forward, ignoring the stairs to your left. Here you will find the first locked door and you can use your key to test the dam.

Inside this room, depending on your luck, you'll find some lockers, some medical bags, breakable cabinets, and a possible weapon as well. All of these have a chance to get high quality medical or commercial loot such as Vita Spray and rare crafting components. Players can also find blueprints along with possible weapons.

Once you've looted everything in this room, you can head into the next locked room, which is to the right of this room and facing it from the outside. If you have a different key, you can use it right away and start looting. Inside this room you can find items lying on tables and consoles.

There are also a few drawers that can drop some trinkets that are mainly sold for coins, but some are useful for Scrappy upgrades or project requirements.

If you're worried about encountering an enemy raider while looting locked rooms or searching for an extract and can't risk losing your loot, you can opt to Duo or Trio. This will ensure that your friends have your back as you loot the building and make your way out, but you may have to share some of the loot from the key room with them.

Which test door to open?

In case you only have one key and can't decide which room to go to, our advice is to open the left locked door. This is because possible lockers and breakable cabinets can potentially drop highly rare blueprints, especially during map state, and the loot inside the room on the right is a bit smaller when compared.
