It is now beyond doubt that this film will not arrive until 2027 at the earliest and fans are disappointed with the long wait ahead.

Over the weekend, Ufotable suddenly revealed that they will be holding a special event. It came out of the blue, and of course, when Demon Slayer fans heard the news, they were excited about the possibilities it could hold. With the second installment of Infinity Castle approaching, expectations were high from Studio Ufotable's event regarding a new information drop. As expected, this Ufotable event was exciting and definitely exceeded the expectations of many fans. The studio has revealed some big projects, such as a new teaser for the Genshin Impact anime. However, it ended in disappointment for Demon Slayer fans. While Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 was mentioned, the only update fans got was that this movie is still in production at Ufotable. Since this film is still in production, a 2026 release is automatically impossible. If it were to come in 2026, fans would at least get confirmation by now, as well as major promotional content.

With their 2026 main movie officially confirmed, Demon Slayer fans already know that Infinity Castle Part 2 is no longer coming. Ufotable can't handle two major movie releases in one year, especially with other projects in the works. If Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 was coming alongside Witch of the Holy Knight, Ufotable would definitely reveal it at the event.

Either way, the wait is still long and fans will have to be patient to see the best possible installation for this product.
