The most expensive level of PlayStation Plus gives you everything the subscription service has to offer, from free monthly subscriptions to access to its Classics catalog. It's actually not the most expensive tier if you sign up today, as PlayStation is offering a deal that will give you 12 months of Premium for less than the cost of a full year of Extra.
Get 12 months of premium with a discount of up to 37 percent
PlayStation isn't shouting the offer from the rooftops, but I can confirm that it's now live in both the US and the UK, and probably elsewhere. A 12-month PS Plus subscription usually costs $159.99. However, if you sign up or resubscribe right now, you can get another year of Premium for $99.99. That's a 37 percent price drop.
The price cut is slightly smaller in the UK, 35 per cent from £119.99 to £77.99.
By comparison, Extra, which is the tier below Premium, costs $134.99 per year, and that's not included in this PS Plus sale. It's also only slightly more than Essential, the tier that entitles you to free games every month and lets you play certain titles online, which costs $79.99.
Each game is coming to PS Plus Essential, Extra and Premium in February 2026
Every game added to Essential, Extra and Premium and the dates you'll be able to play them for free.
That said, if you've let your PS Plus subscription lapse or considered signing up but haven't gotten the hang of it, now's the time to jump in. Pledge to Premium for the next year and not only will you get everything PS Plus has to offer, but thanks to a handful of reveals during the latest State of the Game we already know some of what's coming to Premium.
What will PS Plus Premium bring in the next few months?
Tekken Dark Resurrection will join Premium in March, and then the original Time Crisis will be available exclusively to Premium subscribers from May. The light gun game will use DualSense gyroscope control to get as close to the real thing as possible. Big Walk, another game from House House's Untitled Goose Game, is also coming to Plus, though it will be available regardless of what tier you're logged into.
The premium well has dried up somewhat in recent months, and this may be PlayStation's way of trying to get people to come back to the top-tier subscription service. It only adds one game a month to its Classics catalog. However, these games tend to be bigger hits than the ones that came before them.
