ZA is going to be a brand new game on March 11th

Pokemon Legends: ZA I recently got all the remaining Mega Evolutions into the game, between Season 7's Mega Blaziken and the newly revealed and released Mega Garchomp Z. There don't seem to be any plans to expand the game beyond the Mega Dimension DLC, but it's still being supported with new updates and seasonal content to keep it alive, probably to extend its lifespan. Players can only use the new Mega Stones as held items for the corresponding Pokémon, and no other item is allowed.
The rated rewards are exclusively Mega Shards, with 300 at rank A, 200 from rank B to E, 100 from rank F to R, and 50 from rank S and below.

How Pokemon Legends: ZA Season 8 is changing the game

With only 44 Pokemon available, the meta will be quite diverse in terms of team composition, but not so much in terms of which mons will see more use across the deck. Pokemon Legends: ZAMega Garchomp Z will most likely dominate the scene due to its powerful base form, as will Mega Magearna, Mega Heatran, Mega Darkrai, Mega Golisopod, Mega Excadrill, and Mega Skarmory.

Still, this is a refreshing set of rules, as favorites like the Life Orb, Expert Belt, and Focus Sash won't be available. Not only that, but this regulation heavily favors experimenting with new Mega Evolutions in the game, which is a big departure from previous seasons. In many cases, Mega Evolutions were not used at all, or maybe on one Pokemon per team, like using powerful items with Plus Moves in Pokemon Legends: ZA was the most optimal choice. As such, this is a great opportunity to play around with the moveset and stats of all the new Mega Evolutions in the game, especially to see how they will be available in the game.
