Resident Evil Requiem it's been out for about two weeks and has already proven to be very successful. Considering how popular it is Resident Evil franchise, that's not too shocking. However, the new chapter surprised many fans with its bold lore decisions. It was a risky move on the part of director Koshi Nakanishi, but it turned out to be worth it. Resident Evil Requiem is one of the strongest stories the franchise has seen in a while, and many are already wanting more.
In the classics Resident Evil fashion, RequiemThe story ends on a huge cliffhanger, leaving players wondering what lies ahead for other characters like Leon, Grace and Sherry. Grace's story seems pretty much wrapped up, but Resident Evil RequiemThe end of the movie made it clear that Leon still has plenty of gas in the tank for more stories starring the beloved roundhouse digging agent. The game's finale has already sparked a lot of theories that will hopefully be addressed in the upcoming DLC.
Major spoilers ahead Resident Evil Requiem.
Resident Evil Requiem DLC leaks and rumors are now in the spotlight
The expansion had already been expected Requiem even launched, but now it has become a reality. Director Koshi Nakanishi recently announced on social media that a Resident Evil Requiem DLC is in development. He didn't provide any information on when players can expect the expansion to be released, but official confirmation that it's on the way is exciting enough at this point. Before the DLC is ready, Nakanishi also confirmed that two big updates are coming Requiem in the near future:
-

-
A mysterious minigame

These two features are planned for May. Additionally, Nakanishi will hopefully share details about the DLC at that time. Only time will tell, but there have already been some interesting leaks and rumors that could be exciting Resident Evil Requiem extension.
Leon and Chris seem destined to reunite
At the end RequiemGrace and Leon are rescued by Chris Redfield's Hound Wolf Squad. Unfortunately, Chris is nowhere to be found, but the agent who finds Grace and Leon in the wreckage of the ARK says, “I have a message from Captain Redfield.” Players will never hear what the message is, but it's possible that he's reaching out to Leon to help him with the BSAA. Now that Leon has Elpis, bioweapons may be obsolete. The BSAA was originally established to stop bioterrorism but Resident Evil VillageThe ending reveals that the organization has been corrupted and is using bioweapons themselves. An expansion where Chris and Leon team up to use Elpis to destroy the BSAA bioweapons is certainly not impossible. Chris Redfield in the game Requiem it feels like more than just fan service, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see him in full DLC.
Alyssa Ashcroft could take center stage
Alyssa is an integral part Resident Evil Requiem's story, but she's only in the game for a short time before meeting her sudden and heartbreaking end. Her background and connection to Oswell Spencer is a wild revelation that adds a deeper layer to Grace's story. It's quite possible that Alyssa's story is tied up, but noted leaker Dusk Golem believes there could be more to it. The leaker said in a recent tweet, “I heard mumbling and RE9 DLC starring Alyssa.” DLC for Alyssa Ashcroft Resident Evil Requiem it will probably be more stealth-oriented, like Grace's sections.
What is it with Zeno and The Connections?
It is now known that Zeno was one of the highest ranking members of The Connections. This organization was one of the most mysterious additions Resident Evil tradition since the first appearance in Resident Evil 7. Requiem has delivered some of the biggest insights into the crime syndicate to date, and hopefully more are on the way. At the end of the game, Zeno injects Elpis, not knowing that it is actually a bioweapon treatment. This turns Zeno back into a human and Victor Gideon quickly cuts off his head. Zeno is now seemingly gone for good, but it may not be that simple.
IN Requiem's post-credit scene, people who are presumably Connections soldiers infiltrate the wreckage of the ARK. A dead BSAA agent lies on the ground and one soldier says, “The remaining BSAA forces have been neutralized. I'm getting the target before they send in the wolves.” There are a lot of questions about what this “goal” might be. It is possible that this could be Oswell Spencer's next project. However, another theory says that it is Zeno's body or head. Even though he's technically dead, The Connections might have the means to resurrect him somehow. Requiem it also suggests that it's a clone of Albert Wesker, which would be perfect for a DLC solution.
If Zeno were to return, or The Connections were somehow the main antagonist, this could also be another situation that would allow Chris and Leon to be reunited as they try to destroy the organization. This might even set the stage for Ada Wong's return. It's not hard to imagine a scenario where she and Leon are on separate missions to infiltrate the group, only to run into each other again.
Based on the concept art and glimpses of Leon's hand in the post-credits scenes, many fans are convinced that he is married. The main theories point to Ada Wong or Claire Redfield, so it would be interesting if the DLC addresses that.
The Resident Evil Requiem DLC has a lot of ground to cover
As great as Resident Evil RequiemThe story is that there are many unanswered questions that will hopefully be resolved soon. Resident Evil is notorious for leaving some story threads hanging for long periods of time. Another main Resident Evil after the game Requiem it probably won't be finished until 2030, so it would be good for the expansion to bring more answers to fans. There is also a possibility that Requiem will get more than one DLC. That would be the best case scenario, but only time will tell. Until Capcom is ready to officially announce what the DLC is based on, there are bound to be more rumors and leaks throughout the year.
