Mussels are a rare resource Popopia which players can use to craft seashells and other decorative items. Unlike other resources that can be grown, purchased or found in multiple locations, seashells are only found on beaches Popopia. Because of this, players often have to try to collect them whenever they appear. There are three places where players can get shells, including
-
Ocean Dream Island,
-
bleak beach
-
and Pallet Town.
All these areas are characterized by coastal environments, where mussels naturally reproduce along the coast or in sandy areas.

How to get seashells in Pokopia
There are several areas that players can unlock and explore Popopiaand each of them has a different climate, pokemon, habitat and resources. Some areas are dense forests filled with Bug-type Pokemon, while others are rocky wastelands or grassy plains with completely different habitats to restore. Seashells only spawn near oceans along coastlines that are not accessible when players first start the game.
Since the early game areas are mostly inland, players will have to progress through the story and unlock new paths before they can start collecting them. The first one that players will most likely gain access to is Pallet Town.
Pallet city
To get to Pallet Town, players must go to the west side of the Withered Wasteland near the ocean, where they will find a broken bridge. Lay any type of floor tile to fill the gap and cross.
Once the bridge is repaired, players can travel to the other side and begin exploring a new area. Pallet Town serves as a coastal hub that opens up additional gameplay opportunities, including multiplayer features and beach resource gathering. Since the bridge only requires a simple tile to repair, players can unlock the area fairly early on once they reach the Withered Wasteland.
Pallet Town is fully customizable by players, including its name, and is a place where they can invite their friends for multiplayer games. This makes it one of the most social places Popopiaas players can design the layout of the city, decorate it with crafted furniture and create a unique environment for friends to visit. Because of its open layout and customizable features, many players choose to build decorative items here, including shells created from the shells they collect.
There also happens to be a beach there, and players will find seashells and shards of sea glass on it. These items spawn along the sandy shore and can be picked up while walking along the shore. Players may need to search the entire beach to find each seashell, as they can sometimes blend in with the sand or appear near rocks and other beach debris.
While there, players can also find certain Pokémon and complete special challenges with valuable rewards.
A bleak beach
Players will also find Shells on Bleak Beach. Bleak Beach is accessible once players reach Trainer Rank Great and go through the Area Gate in the nswe Withered Wastelands section. The only way to increase the rank of a trainer is to fulfill important requirements, so this will happen naturally.
Because the trainer's rating increases as players complete tasks and help surrounding characters Popopiamost players unlock Bleak Beach simply by continuing to progress through the game. Once the rank requirement is met, the Area Gate becomes available and players can travel to the beach to search for resources.
How to get special pokemon for Bleak Beach in Pokopia
There are at least three Pokémon you can find on Bleak Beach with the Fly specialty, and here's how to find them.
Bleak Beach has rare Water-type Pokémon that players can find while searching for shells. This makes it a useful place not only for gathering materials, but also for expanding the player's Pokemon collection. Players who bring water-type Pokémon with them may find exploration easier, especially when dealing with environmental obstacles scattered around the beach.
Seashells are found in sandy areas and also when players clear mud with a water pokemon following them. Clearing the mud can reveal hidden items underneath, including shells and other useful resources. Because of this mechanic, players should take their time exploring Bleak Beach and clear as much of the coastline as possible.
Island of Ocean Dreams
Finally, players can find seashells by visiting Ocean Dream Island. Dream Islands are special areas that players visit by giving Drifloon a Pokedoll. Each Pokedoll is attached to a specific Dream Island and players will need a Pikachu doll to go to Ocean Dream Island. There are seven other dream islands for players to visit, so keep an eye out for Pokedols.
Dream Islands are unique because they function differently from normal areas in the game. Instead of being permanently accessible areas, they are temporary destinations that players can travel to after being offered the right doll. Each island has its own theme, resources, and Pokemon found nowhere else Popopia.
Ocean Dream Island is especially useful for players who want to collect more seashells, as it contains several coastal areas where they can spawn. Thorough exploration of the island can reward the player with several shells in a single visit.
Players can get a decent number of shells if they visit all three locations, but they'll have to wait for them to reappear once they've all been picked up. Seashell Lamps are a cute way to decorate Ditto's house and make places for water Pokemon special.
