State of Mind adventure quest in Monster hunter tales 3 challenges the player to find the Ivory Lagiacrus, a particularly elusive monster type that is already classified as endangered. To find it, players must release several Lagiacruses into the wilds of Azuria and find the Lagiacruse Ivory egg in the monster's lair. This is a fairly simple task, but since Stories of MH 3 doesn't tell players where to find Lagiacrus, many may be wondering what to do once the quest starts.

How to get Lagiacrus in MH Stories 3
Players can find Lagiacrus eggs by chasing away the Invasive Plesioth in the Mirror Lake area of Azuria.. The Lair of the Invader Plesioth is inside the cave to the north. Get a normal Plesioth or Royal Ludroth to take you there, then carefully examine the monster's tracks for clues on how to drive it away.
In case you miss the tracks, you have to smash the Invasive Plesioth's head when it starts filling with water. Violating it will immediately cause it to retreat.
Once the Invasive Plesioth retreats to its lair, interact with the preserved egg insidethen take it home. Go to your camp, hatch the egg and you will get your very first Lagiacrus. Don't celebrate just yet – in order to restore the Lagiacrus population in Azuria, you'll need to release it using the Habitat Restoration mechanic. If you do, Lagiacrus Eggs will spawn in Monster Dens.
How to get Ivory Lagiacrus in MH Stories 3
To get the Ivory version of Lagiacrus, you need to increase the habitat recovery level of the species to A. You can do this by unleashing multiple Lagiacrus in the same area (in this case Azuria). Freeing five of them should be enough, but if not, just get another egg.
You can get a guaranteed Lagiacrus egg by fighting one and forcing it to retreat. Finish the fight as best you can, and once his health is down, paintball Lagiacrus. With any luck it should subside, it will take you straight to a lair of monsters with nests full of Lagiacrus eggs.
We've had the best luck finding Lagiacrus and Ivory Lagiacrus eggs while scouting Monster Dens near bodies of water in Azuria at night.
After you get the Ivory Lagiacrus, equip it in your build via Stables, then go back to the NPC who gave you the quest. Talk to him again and the quest will be completed.
Ivory Lagiacruses aren't necessarily better than normal variants, but they do offer a different skill set, giving you the opportunity to adapt to situations that require them.
