The marksman archetype is one of those additions, and if you've been following More's quests, it's one you'll want to get. You unlock this archetype through the Providing A Spark quest, and unlike the Merchant and Forger archetypes, which are harder to get, the Marksman is relatively easy to get, but just as easy to miss.
How to start providing Spark Quest
The Providing A Spark quest comes to you naturally as the story progresses. After the Tournament of Thrones is formally announced, Nueras will give you the task on 6/26 while you are aboard the Gauntlet Runner en route to Martira.
This quest will will take you to Komero Village, a day's journey from Martirawhere you will have to get the relic for the one who gives the quest. Completion adds Nuerase as a follower and unlocks the Marksman Archetype.

he needs to study the shooter archetype squarely
you will have to
wait until this point in the story
to continue his bond of Follower.
How to complete the search for the spark
The search is completed automatically once you reach Komero Village. 6/29 After you gain the teleport ability, Somber youth at the fountain in Martira's Thoroughfare Square will give you Hatching a plan task if you talk to him. This unlocks the way to Komeraccessed from the round table on the Gauntlet Runner.
You will find out when you arrive in Komero survey is not possibleand only a there will be a short conversation with one of the villagers. He will give it to you Glass Ornamentthe relic in question and Inventor's Journalwhich will later be key to Neuras's upcoming quest.
These items are automatically assigned to Nueras then complete the Providing A Spark quest to unlock Archetype Gunner. After that for sure visit More in the Academy when you have time for it line up his follower bondget the Magic Seeker Archetype and get his next quest.
Once you are in Komer,
don't forget to buy the Practical Pigeon package
from Obliging Shopkeep on the Key Items tab for
400 Revee

which cost 200 Revee each as they are hard to come by and can come in handy in a boss fight!
