The anime Steel Ball Run is finally coming to Netflix.

  • Gyro Zeppeli won the first stage of the race

  • Gyro used steel balls to win

When Gyro Zeppeli was introduced, it was clear that he would be the focus of the entire Steel Ball Run. He came all the way from Europe to take part in a race that stretches across America. When the race started, Gyro was immediately in the lead, but Diego Brando was immediately on his tail.

Gyro created a decent gap between him and Diego, but Diego used his ingenuity to close it. Diego watched Valkyrie, Gyro's horse, and figured out what it looked like. Using this information, Diego was able to close the gap, prompting Gyro to use the rotation of the steel balls to increase Valkyrie's speed.

Gyro continued to lead the pack until he was overtaken by Pocolo with his crazy luck. However, Gyro was not ready to give up. He continued and eventually got ahead and finished the race in first place. By winning, Gyro gained not only valuable time, but also a nice bonus.

Things will only get harder for the heroes

Fans have already seen how tough the race is going to be, but it's safe to say that it's only going to get tougher from here. Luckily, Gyro has opened up to Johnny, which means they're more or less a team. So they will stick together for the rest of the race. Even though Johnny may be a paraplegic, there's no denying his determination.

Even though he was unable to get on a horse, his will was unbreakable. After hanging on for a while, Johnny was able to tame his horse and finally prepared to enter the race. Johnny's goal was to show Gyro his determination and he was successful.

The next episode of Steel Ball Run has not been announced

Fans are feeling uneasy about the lack of clarity

Steel Ball Run Episode 1 Release Date Johnny

The first episode of Steel Ball Run was 47 minutes long, which was a good decision. However, there was absolutely no mention of a release date for the second episode, which made fans somewhat uneasy. Most people expected some kind of update after the first episode aired, but none of the official accounts shared any information.

A Netflix Chile administrator has suggested that the anime will be weekly, but this information should be taken with a grain of salt. Additionally, one of the people working on Steel Ball Run confirmed that production for the anime has not ended.

If the anime production hasn't finished, it doesn't make sense for David Production to only release the first episode. They should have waited until they were ready to air at least 10-12 episodes. A long break in between is far from ideal and can seriously cause fans to lose interest. Hopefully there is some confirmation from the staff regarding the future of the Steel Ball Run anime in the coming weeks.
