Crimson Desert update 1.01.00 adds five new mounts

Crimson Desert patch 1.01.00 is here, introducing five new summon mounts while making wider changes to gameplay as part of Pearl Abyss' “ongoing effort” to address feedback.

The new mounts consist of three legendary beasts and two bosses, but if you've already caught them before the patch, don't worry as they'll be retroactively added to your “Extra Rewards List” when you open the game.

  • White bear

  • Silver Fang

  • Snow white deer

  • Rock cl warty

  • Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex

Pearly Abyss also explained that “The people of Pywel are not afraid of tamed animals, so you can travel around cities with these mounts.”

Crimson Desert Patch 1.01.00 improves the range of interaction, adds a new quality to the inventory, and changes the way movement speed works

Last week, the team addressed the “discomfort” of the confusing controls they criticize and players raised after launch to ensure it streamlines the experience “as quickly as possible”. Patch 1.01.00 marks the second update since then, the first implementing more fast travel points and a Private Storage chest to lighten the load.

As for today's controls updates, here are some of the highlights in the patch notes on the official Crimson Desert website:

  • Movement speed is increased by holding down the key “(Please note that maintaining a full sprint state still requires you to regularly press the sprint button.)”

  • Flight stamina consumption has been reduced and equipment can now be used while flying.

  • The interaction range has been “enhanced”.

  • Items can now be sold by double clicking in shops (mouse/keyboard).

    • You can also double-click items in your inventory to use them.

  • Certain bosses and enemies will no longer attack immediately after you revive.

  • Weapons can now be drawn with the holster key.

  • Holding Q while moving the mouse “now allows objects to be moved more precisely.”

  • Pearl Abyss has “Improved objects to make them easier to manipulate.”

You can read the full patch notes here, which include not only control changes and new connections, but also various UI improvements, quest fixes, and graphics updates.
