However, PC players will have to wait a few weeks before the game releases really take off.

With the 1.0 release, Temtem: Swarm will allow players full access to his co-op The surviving vampires– like the pet game that fans of the franchise have come to know and love.
A few weeks later, Steam users can take a look at arguably the three biggest PC releases of April 2026. April 14 REPLACED is released on Steam and players will immerse themselves in its gorgeous cyberpunk world and experience its narrative 2D action platformer. REPLACED has been a highly anticipated title since its visually stunning HD-2D pixel art style was first revealed at E3 2021, and it also has a demo where players can experience the game's world before its full release.
April 16 Mouse: PI for Hire release that brings a stylish rubber hose animation style to the FPS genre. Mouse: PI for Hire follows the story of investigator Jack Pepper, voiced by the famous Troy Baker, known for his performances as Higgs in Death Stranding and Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Now players will be able to immerse themselves in the cartoon era of the 1930s with a violent twist, similar to Cuphead fulfilled already in 2017.
Atomic HeartDLC 's Blood on Crystal will also be released on April 16.
Arguably the biggest release on Steam in April is Capcom's new sci-fi adventure IP, Pragmatics. The game follows protagonist Hugh and his android companion Diana as they work to escape from a lunar research station through a combination of puzzle solving and third-person combat gameplay. Capcom already knocked it out of the park with the release Resident Evil Requiem in February so have another massive title like Pragmatics releasing just two months later is a welcome double dose of action from the beloved developer.
The last two weeks of April will see a solid amount of new games on Steam, starting with Vampire crawlers on April 21. Vampire crawlers is the latest game from poncle, the developer behind the indie hit The surviving vampires. This roguelike dungeon crawler trades the bullet hell gameplay of its predecessor for a deckbuilding, card game similar to one of Steam's biggest games of March, Slay the Spire 2.
Just a day later, on April 22nd, two rather large games are being released on Steam. Tides of Tomorrow is a “plastic punk” epic adventure game from the developers Route 96. IN Tides of Tomorrowplayers will have to navigate a flooded world trying to survive while making decisions that will affect not only their own game but also the games of other players using the Online Story-Link system. This feature allows one player's choices to affect the world of all players online, almost like Death Stranding“Strand-like” gameplay.
On the same day, Steam players will get exclusive access to the god games city builder, Masters of Albion. Originating from Fable series creator Peter Molyneux, Masters of Albion it allows players to influence almost every aspect of the world of Albion, mixing strategy, simulation, city management and tower defense mechanisms into the game. For the fans Fable or city builders, Masters of Albion it will be a game they will definitely want to try on day one.
Another beloved developer is releasing its latest game on April 23rd. Double Fine Productions is known for games like Psychonauts and Brutal legendand is now launching its multiplayer PvP party game Furnace. IN Furnaceplayers will compete to carve ceramic battle armor using the potter's wheel before diving into a battle that focuses on breaking these ceramic creations for a satisfying yet humorous PvP experience.
Two notable games are listed on Steam on the last day of April: Invincible VS and Trap for bandits. Invincible VS is a highly anticipated 2D fighting game set in space Invincible.
