Disney Dreamlight Valley shared a neat teaser for its next free update with the debut of Pocahontas. Gameloft previously teased the character in December 2025, and now players can finally expect her addition on April 8th. Disney Dreamlight Valley was originally launched in 2023 and has since become a hit with life simulation fans. With the release of Pocahontas, the list of iconic Disney princesses grows.
Gameloft's casual life-sim has been steadily releasing exciting updates and new characters in recent months. Disney Dreamlight Valleythe last big DLC, Wishblossom Ranchwhich launched in November 2025. But the game also added several free patches, such as The Winter Ball update in December, which debuted Cinderella. Recently, in February 2026, Disney Dreamlight ValleyThe Puppy Love patch added the beloved Lady and the Tramp along with the first Valentine's Day themed limited event. Now, another big free update will let players get to know a new character, a new companion, and more in the coming weeks.

Disney's Dreamlight Valley debuts Pocahontas in a free April 8 update
Through an official social media post Disney Dreamlight Valley has shared a trailer for its Whispers of the Wind update, which is scheduled for April 8, 2026. The free patch will allow players to befriend Pocahontas, one of Disney's most popular princesses, for the first time in the game. As seen in the video, players will team up with Moana to follow the mysterious leaves flowing in the wind around the valley. Thanks to these leaves, fans will collect memories and finally meet Pocahontas. Afterward, fans will learn about the ocean-changing phenomenon in the valley and help the Disney princess throw a special celebration. Inviting Pocahontas to their valley will give players their own house design and her friendship. Completing this task will also reward you with a signature outfit for fan avatars.
New Disney Dreamlight Valley an animal companion can also be unlocked in the Whispers of the Wind update. According to Gameloft, players will need to craft a special lure to catch Meeko, Pocahontas' raccoon friend from the animated film. In addition to the adventures of Pocahontas, VAT players can also look forward to the return of mischief-related content. The Whispers of the Wind patch kicks off a new mischievous saga with a mysterious figure “lurking in the shadows of the Valley.” This new content appears to be similar to the previous May 2025 Cheshire Cat Chaos event, in which players had to complete various missions for limited rewards. Gameloft advised players to stay tuned for further updates on which character will wreak havoc in Dreamlight Castle next.
As VAT Pocahontas was one of the few classic Disney princesses still missing from the game. However, while some fans expected her to be added, other players argued that Pocahontas should not join Disney Dreamlight Valley. Their reasoning was related to how Disney's animated film Pocahontas it is culturally insensitive to Native Americans and the actual historical figure of Matoak. Some fans also claim that John Smith's Addendum to Disney Dreamlight Valley will be just as controversial. Whether Gameloft will release the character in future updates remains to be seen.
Pocahontas' debut was first teased Disney Dreamlight Valleyplan for 2026. With the confirmation of the Whispers of the Wind update, there is only one patch left in the plan. The development team has indicated that Hercules will join the Valley sometime during the summer of 2026. There are still plenty of Disney and Pixar franchises that Disney Dreamlight Valley you can dive into for more content and events. However, fans will have to wait for the official announcement in the coming months. Meantime, DVV players can participate in the Easter-themed Eggstravaganza event that will run from April 1st to April 21st with limited in-game rewards.
