Forgotten general location in Crimson Desert

• If you've looked in this guide but haven't found the Forgotten General, we've listed its location above.

• The Forgotten General can be found in the General's Tomb, which is the farthest northwest point of Pailune.

• Even if you have access to this area, you may not find the boss until you complete enough Pailune Faction quests to get the “Slumbering Soul” quest in the Odeck tribe.

Preparation before the fight with the forgotten general

There are few fights that will be as intense and difficult as the Forgotten General. Therefore, here are some basic items you'll want to bring to make this fight a little easier:

• Two-handed weapons with high attack and critical speed like Vow of the Dead King: The Dead King's Vow, located inside the ruins of Frostveiled Castle in the Citadel of the Forgotten King, is popular because of its high attack and Lv 4 crit rate after upgrading. Damage and critical speed (increased chance to deal double damage) are a must.

• High defense and ice resistance, like Frostcursed Armor: We have a guide to all of Frostcursed Armor here, but it's also great to have as it stops the negative effects of cold weather when fighting the Forgotten General.

• Critical Rate, Stamina Regen and Focus Regen Abyss Gears: These Abyss Gears on your weapons and armor are more important than defense. The Forgotten General will kill you in three hits regardless of your defense level, so being able to regenerate Stamina and Focus and have an increased chance to double your damage is a huge help.

• Infinite Arrows III & Infinite Arrows II: These Abyss Gears can be obtained by random chance with the Sorceress via the “Special Synthesis” tab in “Craft Abyss Gears” and are vital for long range damage and cheesing bosses.
  • Explosive arrows: Obtained from the Back Alley Shop in Demeniss. Paired with Infinite Arrow Abyss Gears, you can only have one and it lasts forever.
  • Escape shot: This skill allows you to press circle twice while aiming to dodge and spam arrows, which is great for keeping distance.
  • Concentrated shot: If you want to try the cheese method, then spamming multiple arrows at once with Focused Shot will be a must.

• Elemental Turning Slash / Volcanic Eruption: The Imbue Fire ability (R1+R2 then L2+R2) will ensure that you give maximum stun to the Forgotten General. Since this boss has an absurdly high health pool, focusing on stun is critical to defeating her. You can get the flame from the sleep tree and the volcanic eruption from the Scorchflame plate gloves.
• Hearty Meal and Palmar Pill Regeneration Items: You will get hurt or die a lot. Hearty meals that heal a lot of health and spirit are a must to stay alive, and if you die you need Palmar Pills to make sure the effort wasn't a waste of time.

How to defeat the Forgotten General in Crimson Desert

• Your attack pattern should be: Turning Slash (R1+R2), Fire Imbue Element (L2+R2) and repeat until she is stunned.where you can then perform a Finisher with R1+R2.

• Aggressive play is key, as you'll be able to stun her on the spot so she can't perform lethal attacks and chip away at her health and stun gauges.

• When you run out of Spirit, retreat and use Focus (L3+R3) or eat recovery items, but watch out for her attacks. While focusing, slow motion lets you press L1 to counter or Circle to dodge.

• With the Forgotten General's invulnerable move, she taps her weapon on the ground and ghosts attack from each end of the room. To avoid this attack, jump and triple Force Palm, then use your wings to glide.

  • Wait in the air until the soldiers stop charging.

  • If you land and can't get back into the air, time your dodges every 1.5 seconds to avoid the ghost swing attacks.

How to cook a forgotten general in crimson desert

• Use Jump + triple Force Palm to reach the wooden beam shown above.

• Stand on the wooden beam and then spam Focused Shot on the Forgotten General with infinite explosive arrows.

• When the Forgotten General's stun is full, run down and perform a Finisher, then return to the cheese area.

• It'll take a lot longer than fighting her normally, and at the start of her invulnerable attack she'll shoot an explosive under your feet, so there's still some risk.
