My Hero Academia: The 7 Best Harmless Jokes, Ranked

Despite having no offensive abilities, these Quirks in My Hero Academia still stand out for their creativity and uniqueness.

Throughout the series, various fire pranks stand out for their extreme temperatures, color, use, and overall level of destruction. among those these fiery jokes are the strongest in My Hero Academiait burns brighter and hits harder than any other in the series. In fact, some users of these fire pranks are well known for the destructive power they possess.

Ignition

Quirk User: Moyuru Tochi

Ignition is the only joke on this list that appeared in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes via former villain Moyuru Tochi. While Ignition is a cool name for a fire joke, it's not exactly powerful. In his base form, it allows Moyuru to create small, weak flames from his body, which is fine for a small-time villain like him.

However, after Moyuru was affected by the Ideo Trigger, his Ignition instantly gained more power and became capable of producing larger, more destructive flames. Like most of the characters on this list, she can fire flamethrowers, but not as strong as Endeavor, Shoto, or Dabi.

Hardflame fan

Quirk User: All For One

All For One has stolen quite a few jokes in the series, and Hardflame Fan is no different. However, the original owner of the fire quirk remains unknown, making All For One the only identified Hardflame Fan user to this day. The AFO was first used in a battle against the Hawks and Endeavor in MHA episode 147. The fire quirk allowed the AFO to protect itself from Endeavour's Vanishing Fist. Unlike the other fire jokes on this list, Hardflame Fan is not an offensive joke.

Simply put, the Hardflame Fan allows the user to create layers of fire walls to defend against incoming attacks. In the anime, these walls were animated as liquid slime, but the manga depicts them as solid, rolling flames.

Explosion

Quirk User: Volcano

Originating from one of MHA's arcade games, Volcano, otherwise known as Maguma Iwata, is a fire prank user who seemingly looks like Endeavor with his blue suit, gloves and boots. It's almost as if it's a game character designed around Endeavor's frame and look.

Meanwhile, Maguma's quirk is referred to as Volcano, which gives him the ability to shoot lava and magma from his body. The inner workings behind his quirk are also fascinating, much like how Fat Gum transforms his fat to unleash his attacks. In Magum's case, he burns his fat to release lava and magma from his body.

Half Cold Half Hot

Quirk User: Shoto Todoroki

Possessing two elemental quirks at once is Shoto Todoroki's greatest strength My Hero Academia. Unlike his father and brother, he can rely on his ice abilities and even combine them with his fire techniques when necessary.

In fact, some of Shot's most powerful techniques utilize the power of both ice and fire, combining them to freeze and burn his opponents simultaneously. His “cold fire” is exclusive to his personal use, making it a signature technique that proves his mastery of fire and ice.

If we separate Shoto's fiery quirk from his icy quirk, his fire is still strong enough to match or even surpass his brother's and father's flames. Like them, he can burn anything or anyone he touches, unleash walls of flame, flamethrowers, and the like.

Hellflame

Quirk User: Endeavour

Endeavor's mastery of his fiery wit is second to none. His Hellflame may be weaker than Dabi's, but the variety of his shooting techniques makes him a much more versatile fire user. Endeavor has plenty of offensive and defensive techniques at her disposal, from flamethrowers, heat beams, flame blankets, and even flame vortexes.

Endeavor can even craft fire weapons such as fire arrows, harpoons and the like to attack his enemies. Endeavor is very proud of its flames. He refuses to appear in public without his flames, viewing them as a symbol of his power and Pro Hero status.

Depending on the power level of his opponents, Endeavor can simply adjust the temperature of his Hellflame. Those who push it to its limits can also witness how it can transition from red to blue flame just like Dabi. However, excessive use of his flames can also slow him down, and in the worst cases he has to be cooled down before he can re-engage in battle.

Blue flame

Quirk User: Dabi

Of all the fire jokes in the series, Dabi has the most unique flames. After all, his fire is blue, making him hotter and stronger than everyone else, including Endeavour. Wielding the Blue Flame is also not for the faint of heart, as even Dabi himself could not withstand the searing effect of his flames for long battles, mostly due to the genes he inherited from his mother.

Despite this, Dabi is reckless enough to abuse Blueflame just to finish Endeavor and satisfy his rage. The more anger his heart holds towards Endeavor and everyone in general, the stronger his Blue Flame becomes. In fact, his flames can even burn Endeavour, despite his immense resistance to fire, proving just how dangerous Dabi's flames are.

Valnet - Crunchyroll Ad preview

When unleashed against opponents without fire resistance, Dabi's enemies often die instantly, leaving behind nothing but ash and charred marks. A single back tap can ignite a target at once, while a simple flamethrower or flame wave can burn multiple targets regardless of their distance to Dabi.
