The new game will reportedly be similar to ARC Raiderswith players taking on the role of Disney characters who must engage in battle until they reach an extraction point. Not much else is known about the game project at this time, such as which characters players will have access to or what enemies they might face. It is also not yet clear whether it will be a stand-alone game or composed as a component Fortnite.
With that, some more details were hinted at in the report. Earlier in 2026, Epic Games announced the layoff of around a thousand people, including the artist who designed Jonesy and an employee with terminal cancer. This was followed by the announcement that three game modes would be shut down Fortnite.
