One Crimson Desert Platinum Achiever gives everyone much needed tips

PlayStation fans love a good Platinum trophy hunt, sometimes even a grueling one, but when news of Crimson Desert's demanding Platinum requirements started to surface, even the most die-hard trophy hunters had to think twice about making the trip.

According to the PSNProfiles forums, a Platinum run can take up to 300 hours to complete, potentially more. Even now that the game has been out for a few weeks, only eight players out of the game's 13,276 registered owners have Platinum, which is an absurd 0.06 percent of the Platinum rate.

Pearl Abyss will continue to improve Crimson Desert from now on.

As TheGamer's Sam Woods wrote when news of the first platinum holders began to spread, it takes some serious time and commitment to even think about going platinum due to how massive the game is and the sheer amount of requirements. Now, one player who has done the unthinkable has offered some tips on how others can join them in the Platinum Club.

Platinum is a grind, but with these tips it doesn't have to be

Over on the r/Trophies subreddit, u/TioZer0 shared his 534th career platinum, which just so happens to be John Crimson Desert himself.

They estimate it took them about 305 hours, although that number is a bit inflated due to the blindness and more than 60 hours spent hunting insects and fish. “With the information obtained from the data that is now available on some websites and the guides that now have more information, anyone can get it in about 130 to 150 hours,” they revealed.

Still, that's one massive time sink, and the user wasn't shy about marathoning the game for 56 hours straight with only minor breaks to rest.

In addition to detailing their journey, they offered some helpful tips, such as being alert to challenges early. These can later help alleviate some of the need for happiness. For example, in the “Kill 10 Jackals in the Black Bear Helmet” trophy, they said this:

“This can be bought by a tailor from your camp, but if you move your camp to Pailune city during the late game, the tailor will change and you will now have to drop the helmet from the enemies, which is extremely rare.”

If you're planning to try Platinum, it's worth reading the whole thread as it could almost certainly save you some time. Even if Crimson Desert isn't on your radar yet, it's probably worth bookmarking as the user plans to write a guide using his knowledge and experience to help others.
