AND Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream the player shared Mii versions of every starter Pokémon from all the main lines of the monster-hunting game series, which he did impressively without having to use the game's new Face Paint tool. The ability to create Miis representing almost anyone or anything is one of the biggest draws Tomodachi Life: Living the Dreambut creating something unique without hand drawing can be a real challenge.
Release of the third game in Tomodachi line was a relief for fans of the series who had been without a new game since the Nintendo 3DS. 2013 Life of Tomodachi was the first game in the social sim series to be released outside of Japan and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream spent nine years in development before finally arriving on Nintendo Switch on April 16th.
No, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is not just “Animal Crossing with Miis”
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is Nintendo's next big life simulator, but what sets it apart from its big brother Animal Crossing?
Tomodachi Life Player will make exactly 30 Pokemon without using face paint
Now one player has used Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream's Mii crafting tools to show their appreciation for Pokemon franchise by creating every starter Pokémon, with the exception of Pikachu and Eevee, who only have the starter title in the spin-off games and Pokemon yellow. Created by Reddit user DucklingCore, this cast of characters ranges from the original starter trio of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander to Browt, Pombo, and Gecqua, the recently revealed starters for the upcoming Pokemon winds and waves.

Technically, Pikachu and Eevee are also starter Pokemon, although they are not included in this image. Pikachu was first made available as a starter in Pokemon Yellow and then again alongside Eevee in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. Eevee was also a starter in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.
Impressively, this player was able to recreate all 30 of these Pokemon-based Miis without using Face Paint, one of the neatest new features in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Face Paint lives up to its name, allowing players to add special details to Miis' heads that aren't included in the already extensive list of facial parts that the game's Mii creation system natively supports. Some talented early players have already shown how Face Paint can be used to create near-photorealistic versions of real people and animated characters. But like this Pokemon fan proved that learning how to use Face Paint isn't absolutely necessary, as combinations of head shapes, hairstyles, and inhuman skin colors can be used to make dozens of Miis that are instantly recognizable as Pokémon.
As the creator admitted, getting all the Pokemon to look right was not an easy task without the use of Face Paint. Despite many realistic depictions of Pokémon, not everything went exactly as intended. In some cases, as with Poplius and Oshawott, this is because Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream does not allow players to change nose colors without using the Face Paint tool. However, most are still amazed at how it turned out regardless.

Unfortunately, the player who created all of these Miis was unable to give players exact instructions on how to add them all to their own games. All 30 Pokémon Miis were created using Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream a free demo that became available on March 25th gave players a taste of what the full game had in store, only allowing them to create and save three Miis in one session. The creative gamer goes above and beyond to provide guidance on specific designs and has even moved on to creating other Pokemon-based Miis like Greninja.
