There are a lot more fixes and improvements coming in May 5th ARC Raiders update, with full details in the official patch notes below this article. One fix in particular that fans will be happy about concerns an annoying bug that caused tons of unavoidable deaths in ARC Raiders. Prior to today's update, players who were attacked by ticks while holding a portable item were unable to fight it or discard the item, resulting in players being forced to accept their fate. Thankfully, Embark has fixed the issue and confirmed that players can now drop their portables and repel ticks when attacked while carrying something.
Last month's Riven Tides update also made some major balance changes that fans weren't thrilled about. Shortly after the patch went live, the community started a petition for a rollback ARC RaidersWeapon durability changes as common weapons now lose 75% of their durability per shot, while uncommon weapons lose 50%. Players now repair their weapons after almost every match and the fans want some serious changes. While the studio hasn't said whether it intends to roll back the durability changes or not, today's update includes a note from the team that says it's “investigating balance adjustments to improve upon the changes introduced with Riven Tides.” Embark then said that he wants to get the changes right so players will hear more when the studio is ready.
