Legacy Of The Dark Knight is reportedly leaking online soon

If you ever consider yourself lucky, think again. That's because one player redeemed their pre-order of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a title that isn't due out until May 22nd, only to find out they can play the game early.

As first shared on the r/LegoGaming subreddit, one user allegedly purchased a digital code from Walmart's website, redeemed it on his Xbox, and followed the steps, a seemingly never-ending set of steps, that resulted in the title being fully bootable.

In a series of shared screenshots, they show that the title was fully playable, with images of a save slot and presumably the game's first mission shared.

“I'm as shocked as you are,” they wrote on Reddit.

Legacy of the Dark Knight looks to be bigger and maybe even better than anything TT has ever done with their Lego games.

At first, the lucky duck had zero intention of playing the game and wanted to wait until May 22 like everyone else. Then, after a bit of pressure from each other, they gave in and have been playing ever since, although they won't spoil the game, so there's that.

There are conflicting reports from other players as to whether the “gap” has been closed. According to our research, the Lego Batman digital code version is still available for purchase, with the promise of a code shortly after purchase confirmation.

Either way, it's unclear how the code would allow players to access the game early. Review codes behave differently, but this is not a review copy and Walmart would not have access to them anyway.

It was a leaky Sunday, folks

Interestingly, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight isn't even the most notable leak from Sunday. Hours before Lego Batman became playable on one lucky gaming console, it was Forza Horizon 6 that made the cut.

Thanks to an early and unencrypted upload of Forza Horizon 6, the title was cracked by pirates and thrown online. Now dozens of savvy enough pirates are playing the game more than a week before the game's scheduled release.

Which means Sunday is apparently the time for leaks. For the sake of all developers, let's hope it's the last one.
