Legendary Super Saiyan form is the ultimate Saiyan transformation Dragon Ball. Excluding fusions, only one Saiyan in each universe is capable of transforming into a legendary Super Saiyan. Legendary Super Saiyans have tremendous power and potential, only getting stronger the longer they fight.
Fighting a legendary Super Saiyan at full power is effectively a death sentence, and victory is only possible for the strongest characters in the multiverse. Considering how overwhelming the average Legendary Super Saiyan is, only a few Dragon Ball the characters were actually able to defeat one in combat. Kale, Kefla and Broly are three of the most overpowered characters Dragon Ball history, but they are not invincible.

Jiren One-Shots Legendary Super Saiyan Kale in Dragon Ball Super Anime
Kale is a legendary Super Saiyan from Universe 6 and was technically the first canon LSSJ v Dragon Ball Super. Kale unlocks his legendary Super Saiyan form during the Tournament of Power and immediately goes on a rampage when he loses control of his senses. IN Dragon Ball Super manga, Kale is responsible for killing more fighters than anyone else, as well as killing three entire universes.
IN Dragon Ball SuperLegendary Super Saiyan Kale slaps around Super Saiyan Blue Goku like he's nothing. Unfortunately for Kale, he comes face to face with Jiren. Jiren is so powerful that he is able to defeat Kale with a single Ki blast. Jiren knocks Kale out of her legendary Super Saiyan form and drains her power all the way to the base. From there, Kale regains her senses and she and Caulifla eventually use the Potara to bond with Kefla.

Ultra Instinct Sign Goku defeats the legendary Super Saiyan 2 Kefla in Anime's Tournament of Power
Kefla is one of the strongest Saiyans in the country Dragon Ball franchises and one of the strongest mergers of all time. The anime version of Kefla is many stronger than her manga counterpart who couldn't even defeat Ultimate Gohan. In comparison, Kefla in the anime is so powerful that she is the reason why Goku triggers the Ultra Instinct Sign a second time, putting him on par with Jiren. Anime Kefla can also turn Legendary Super Saiyan 2 as Caulifla unlocks SSJ2 in anime continuity.
However, when all is said and done, Kefla cannot compete with the power and skill of Ultra Instinct. Goku's mastery of the Ultra Instinct Sign is greatly improved in his fight with Kefla, as he is not only able to effortlessly dodge her attacks, but also charge his Ki to incredibly high levels. As Legendary Super Saiyan 2 Kefla launches his final attack on Goku, he expertly charges Kamehameha, uses it to ride the wave of her blast, and then launches it full force into her face, knocking her out of the tournament. Especially, Dragon Ball Super the anime is the only canon continuity where Goku defeated the legendary Super Saiyan.

Gohan is the only Dragon Ball character to defeat two legendary Super Saiyans
Gohan is currently the strongest Z-Fighter v Dragon Ball Superand holds the impressive record of defeating two different legendary Super Saiyans – both wins exclusive to Dragon Ball Super manga. In the manga version of the Tournament of Power, Kefla ends up fighting Ultimate Gohan instead of Goku, whose only focus is fighting Jiren. In the manga, Kefla only has access to the regular legendary Super Saiyan form, which takes her to Ultimate Gohan's Power Level. The pair wear each other down and eliminate each other in a double knockout.
Their fight is technically a draw, but since Universe 6 is eliminated due to Kefla's loss, the win technically goes to Gohan. IN Dragon Ball Super Chapter 103, Gohan Beast finishes the match with Broly and forces him to trigger his Full Power Super Saiyan transformation. Gohan Beast keeps the edge throughout the fight and treats Broly like he's nothing. Their fight is interrupted by Goten, Trunks, and Vegeta starting a Super Saiyan Battle Royale, but the winner of the match is predicted to be Gohan. Even if they hadn't been interrupted, Gohan Beast was much stronger than Broly and would have won either way.

Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta destroyed the legendary Super Saiyan Broly
Broly grows so strong, so fast that Goku and Vegeta simply cannot keep up with him once he unlocks his legendary Super Saiyan form. Instead, the two flee to Piccolo and practice the Fusion Dance so they can become Gogeta—the ultimate warrior and one of the most overpowered characters in Dragon Ball Super. Gogeta never breaks a sweat fighting Broly, gradually moving from his base form to Super Saiyan and finally Super Saiyan Blue as he tests the extent of Broly's Power Level.
Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta is wildly powerful. He is even powerful enough to cause a break in the fabric of the universe and briefly teleport with Broly to a realm between space and time. Gogeta Blue absolutely destroys the legendary Super Saiyan Broly, smashing him to the point of fear. If Cheelai hadn't used the Dragon Ball to warp Broly back to Vamp, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta would have finished him off with a Limit Ultra Kamehameha.

Whis taunted Broly fighting at full power
As Goku and Vegeta teleport to Piccolo, once Broly becomes too powerful, the legendary Super Saiyan turns his sights on Frieza. LSSJ Broly beats on Frieza for a solid hour before ending up attacking Whis. As an angel, Whis is one of the most powerful beings in the entire multiverse. He may not defend himself or interfere in mortal matters, but he does not have to.
Whis effortlessly dodges every blow Broly throws at him. If Whis wanted to, he could have killed Broly right then and there (but that would have caused him to disappear from existence). It's hard to say that Whis beat Broly because he didn't fight back, but the fact remains that Broly started a fight that he could never win, and not being able to land a blow is a clear loss for the Legendary Super Saiyan.
