The theoretical existence of Mythic Charms has been known since the launch of Lord of Hatred, as players noticed that the game's loot filters contained data for them. One of the first documented cases of an actual mythic spell being released was posted on the D4Barbar subreddit by Jcanlas88 who shared his screenshot of the Heir of Perdition mythic spell. The unique affix on Heir of Damnation is extremely powerful, increasing the damage players deal to enemies by 80%, making it a fantastic find.
Where to find mythic unique charms
In user Jcanlas88's post, they noted that this specific mythic spell was obtained as a completion reward Diablo 4War plans. The best way to find these rare items is to have access to myth level rewards from higher level warplans and focus on spell based reward options. Even then, they are still very hard to find, as achieving the Mythic rewards in Warplans requires quite a large investment. These mythic spells are so rare that most players thought they didn't even exist Diablo 4 as potential drops, they're only now starting to appear nearly a month after Lord of Hatred's release.
Why are Mythic Unique Charms so overpowered in Diablo 4
Part of why Mythic items are so rare is primarily due to how powerful and potentially build-defining their affixes are. Most players will want to have at least one or two mythics in their build, with items like Heir of Perdition and The Grandfather being some of the best items in the game. Now that these effects can potentially be used on builds without having to take up an extra slot via Talisman, players can double up on Mythic and standard Unique effects to give their builds even more juice.
Mythic Charms cannot stack with the same Mythic in a different slot, so players will want to diversify the Mythics used in their Talisman.

Much like Chaos Armor allows players to use combinations of unique abilities previously not possible in Season 10, the Talisman and Charms mechanics give players additional room to add these unique effects to their existing lineup. With Mythic effects on the table, the ceiling for build power has risen again, and more build experimentation is sure to follow.
