All Might won the title of the strongest hero My Hero Academia for a very long time. Almost every hero in the series looked up to him, including Izuku Midoriya, who had nothing but admiration and respect for the muscular man. With the One For All Quirk, All Might protected humanity from the most powerful villains, especially All For One.
While All Might is widely regarded as the undisputed strongest professional hero of all time My Hero AcademiaThe Society of Heroes has created many other powerhouses worthy of recognition. Not only are these heroes exceptionally strong, but they also serve as beacons of hope in humanity's darkest moments, making them the closest thing to All Might.

My Hero Academia: 13 Characters with the Saddest Stories
When it comes to sad and tragic stories in My Hero Academia, these characters in the anime series have it the worst.

Captain Celebrity is often compared to All Might
Quirk: Fly
It's easy to see the similarities between Captain Celebrity and All Might. Both have muscular bodies, thrive in the limelight and are loved by the masses despite their occasional controversies. Some fans even call Captain Celebrity All Might of America, due to his massive public appeal and role as a national symbol.
If Captain Celebrity were to fight All Might, the battle would generally tip in All Might's favor. Even so, Captain Celebrity remains a veteran hero who can give All Might a solid matchup, at least in terms of durability and mobility.

The Hawks proved their worth against the arch-enemy of all powers
Quirk: Wild Wings
While Hawks lacks the same raw power as All Might, his speed and versatility still give him an edge on the battlefield. He is one of the most unpredictable pro heroes in the series, strong enough to make All For One a worthy fight despite not being able to secure a decisive victory.
Hawks, otherwise known as Keigo Takami, uses his Quirk, Fierce Wings, to unleash razor-sharp feathers that he can wield individually to either overwhelm his opponents or help his allies escape the battlefield. Of course, Hawks can also fly, allowing him to scout and fight from a distance.

Fumikage Tokoyami has unlimited potential
Quirk: Dark Shadow
Fumikage Tokoyami's Quirk, Dark Shadow, is an incredibly powerful ability that even All For One tried to gain for himself in the Final War Arc. The joke has unlimited potential, as the more darkness surrounds Dark Shadow, the stronger he becomes.
Even All For One was taken aback by Tokoyami's mastery of Dark Shadow's Total Release form as it nearly overwhelmed him. Although Tokoyami and Dark Shadow were ultimately defeated, there is no denying that he remains one of the strongest and most memorable characters in the Final War.

Cathleen Bate fought the villains as a true symbol of peace
Quirk: New Order
Hailing from America, Cathleen Bate, also known as Star and Stripe, was another powerful professional heroine with a cracked joke called the New Order. Her eccentricity gave her the ability to impose rules on anything she touched if she called it by name. Once the first step was completed, Cathleen only had to override the target's reality to overpower them.
In short, Cathleen Bate was America's counterpart to All Might. She held onto the #1 ranking for as long as she could before traveling to Japan and facing death at the hands of Tomura Shigaraki. Although she lost her life in the process, Cathleen's contributions were crucial in ultimately defeating Tomura.
4
Endeavor is an all-powerful opponent
Quirk: Hellflame
All Might and Endeavor have a long history together. While All Might never wavered as the #1 Pro Hero for most of the time My Hero AcademiaEndeavor was right behind as Pro Hero #2, full of bitterness and relentless ambition. For most of Endeavor's life, he struggled to overcome All Might and claim the title of #1 hero, which deeply affected his family as well.
Regardless, Endeavor wouldn't be Hero #2 if he didn't have the power to back up his rank. His Hellflame Quirk is among the most powerful fire quirks in the series, capable of burning down entire structures with ease. When All Might could no longer stand up to All For One, it was Endeavor who stepped in and fought as best he could, despite knowing that there was a huge gap between them.
3
Shoto Todoroki Represent the Future Beyond All Might
Quirk: Half cold and half hot
This list wouldn't be complete without a mention of Shoto Todoroki and his half-cold, half-hot wit. Like Bakugo, Shoto is one of the most talented students at UA High School, able to hold his own against the likes of Dabi in the series.
Although Shoto is still far from living up to All Might's legacy in hero society, he is on his way to becoming one of the most influential heroes of his generation. Shoto is ranked #2 and by the end of the series has already established himself as one of the strongest and most reliable professional heroes in Japan.
2
Katsuki Bakugo wants to overcome all powers
Quirk: Explosion
Like Izuku, Bakugo idolized All Might from a young age. He even kept a rare All Might trading card in hopes of getting his idol's signature one day. However, Bakugo's pride and ego often get in the way and prevent him from approaching All Might as one of his passionate fans.
This makes Bakugo prominent as one of the most talented students in the My Hero Academia. From start to finish, he was consistent in showing just how powerful his Explosion joke is, leaving nothing but destruction in his wake. Although Bakugo came close to death, he awakened a much stronger version of his Quirk, allowing him to reduce All For One to nothing and even helping Deku finish off Shigaraki. All Bakugo wants is to defeat All Might while maintaining his post at the top of the Pro Hero rankings.
1
Izuku Midoriya is the all-powerful successor
Quirk: One for all
All Might's number one fan, Izuku Midoriya, had a journey from zero to hero My Hero Academia. Starting out as a Quirkless individual, Izuku eventually succeeded All Might as the next user of One For All, burdened with the responsibility of protecting the world from All For One, Tomura Shigaraki, and the League of Villains.
While Izuku initially had trouble controlling OFA's power, he later learned to use the full range of his inherited wit by the end of the series. Against Tomura Shigaraki, Izuku simultaneously used jokes from previous OFA users, showing how far he had mastered his composition joke.
