Solarpunk Progression Guide (First Island)

It can be overwhelming to complete all the assigned tasks at startup Solarpunk. You need to complete some basics to eventually expand and explore more islands, but that will take some time and effort. Here it is what to do first on the starting island Solarpunk.

Start by following the instructions

There are five sections in the tutorial and you will learn the basics of maintaining your character, unlocking new recipes, building a base and more.

Build your base and stay alive

After completing the tutorial, you can do whatever you want. Now it's time to find the perfect place to build your base. In my personal opinion, the best place is next to the only pond on the island. The most valuable materials are nearby and you have a constant source of water.

Use the hoe to create a farm and plant cotton and berry seeds. Equip the Build-Hammer and build a base to place your bed in to sleep at night and gain protection from storms. Later you can also research and craft a chest to store more items.

Keep researching and unlocking new recipes

The next step should be collecting materials to unlock the second level of research. You need a Build-Hammer and Beeswax. This is obtained from the Beehive, which you can craft with 15 wood and 5 sticks. Fortunately, players don't need to search for bees, as they will naturally reach the hive. It takes a while to make beeswax, so take care of the farm or explore the island in the meantime.

Once level 2 is unlocked, you will have more useful stations and items such as a map for better navigation, a furnace to create more advanced materials, and a water bottle to store water.

Discover iron ore and create an airship

One of the most basic materials you will encounter is iron. Make sure you mine the iron patch located south of the pond to get some infinite ores, then throw them into the furnace to get iron bars. Unlock research level 3 with one iron bar to unlock more crafting recipes.

Next, you should focus on crafting a dock and an airship. These two will help you explore more islands and unlock even more materials and recipes. It even lets you meet other characters Solarpunk.
