Probably the closest fight described in this article, FF10Yuna doesn't always feel like a world-breaker in action, which is a common problem with powerful mages who can't consistently show their full power throughout the game. Still, her skills match Sung's well as she is also a summoning mage who is useless without her summoning. As a White Mage, Yuna uses decent offensive and great defensive spells, both of which give her a wider moveset than Sung.

Eventually, this battle comes at their summons, and Yuna's army consists of god-like beings far beyond the current level of Sung Shadows. The latter relies entirely on Sung's infinite mana pool for regeneration, using them as a vanguard rather than a nuke. When Yuna summons the Aeon, her allies disappear, knowing that she must not get in their way. Sung would likely lose to Yuna's basic elemental challenges like Valefor, Shiva, and Bahamut; however, if he somehow survives, he will have to deal with even stronger summons like Anima and Magus Sisters. That's before we even mention Yojimbo and his Zanmato; if Yuna manages to summon and then pay Yojimbo enough Gil, she unleashes an ultimate that will insta-kill anyone, regardless of their immunity, magic shields, physical resistance, or mechanics. Sung will be no exception.

Now there's a battle I'd love to see animated. Sung may not care about looking good while destroying enemies, but his fights tend to be bombastic; on the contrary, Bayonetta can't help but inject style into every single encounter and would bring out the best in Jin-woo. He also wins easily.

Being basically an assassin, Sung's blinding quicksilver speed allows him to get on top of most enemies who aren't quite familiar with his game. This move wouldn't pay off against Bayonetta, who would dodge and cast Witch Time, slowing Sung's hyper-speed attacks to a comical extent. At that point, Sung would be completely vulnerable to the Umbra witch, especially if we're talking about the Bayonetta cutscene.

To give anime Sung a chance, let's say both characters decide to fight from a distance, pitting shadows against hell demons or evil weavers. Bayonetta again uses a much more powerful set of summons than Sung's Iron or Tank, and by the third game in the series she uses as Gomora whenever she wants. Even if we limited her moveset to the first game, Bayonetta's Climax Summons would destroy Sung's anime shadows.

Even more so than Yuna, Queen Azshara's in-game strength as an Eternal Palace raid boss doesn't even remotely reflect her status as a post-apocalyptic threat in World of Warcraftis a tradition. WoW this discrepancy makes sense by explaining that the players not only fight her when her cosmic powers are bound, but also let them win, implying that she was basically just stringing everyone along.

Azshara, who strictly follows tradition, is the most powerful mage in Azeroth and would absolutely dominate Sung Jin-woo's anime. The difference is so great that it would be a straight squash match. Even before she reached her peak power and became a naga, Azshara's arcane mastery was already feared by incredibly powerful demons. After being turned into a naga by N'Zoth, Azshara's power was further enhanced, placing her on the level of gods and raising her to a planetary level of power. In the anime, Sing is the national level. At one point, Azshara holds back an entire ocean tsunami to protect her kingdom, a display of her Arcane defensive power that far surpasses anything Sung achieves in the anime.

To be clear, the above is far from covering all of Azshara's abilities, as we haven't even touched on her Void magic, mind-altering aura, and Arcane magic's effect on the order of things.

• Manhwa Sung: Manhwa Sung would be on par with Kefka, although even he is not guaranteed to win.

In the anime, Sung fights monsters or hunters who mostly follow logical battle patterns. They wield weapons, cast spells, and rely on brute force. Don't get me wrong, he defeats a lot of impressive enemies, but none of them break the laws of reality. After absorbing the power of the Warring Triad, FF6Kefka becomes a literal God of Magic; he moves from conjuring to using the fabric of existence as a playground.

At its peak, Kefka's magic doesn't just deal physical or elemental damage, but rather deals non-existence. Spells like Deserted manipulate the literal void and Kefka becomes the source of all magic in the universe. Kefka would make it so that Sung couldn't use his infinite mana pool to regenerate shadows. Even if the hunter took out all of his shadows, the “overwhelming win” approach would not be successful and would be easily wiped out by Kefka's light of judgment. Also, in the anime, Sung didn't fight anyone as inherently evil or, frankly, insane as Kefka.

IN Noitamagic works exactly like a highly volatile programming language. Instead of learning specific spells, you find and customize wands by inserting individual “code components” that trigger chaotic chain reactions.

With the right configuration and modifiers, you can create spells with absolutely insane effects; for example, you might end up firing a single spell that launches a bunch of black holes. By the end of the game, Minä essentially becomes a nuclear-level weapon that can destroy the entire world (which you can do in Noitasince every pixel is simulated). Minä's biggest weakness is their lack of immunity to their own attacks, so they could kill themselves and take anime Sung at the same time. Only then would the hunter have a chance to defeat NoitaOP MC.
