How to get Legendary Marks in Destiny 2
Legendary Marks are earned by claiming the “Triumph Monument” on the Triumphs page of the Journey tab. Select your character and go to Journey where you can click on Triumphs and finally the Monument of Triumph. You'll see hundreds of individual triumphs on this page, each one rewarding legendary marks.
They exist Complete 204 Monuments of Triumph and each award 15+ Legendary Marks. If you ever need Legendary Marks, just check out Monuments of Triumph and scroll through the different cards to see which ones you can claim and which ones you still need to unlock.
Most of the triumphs are straightforward and just clicking on them with X/A will allow you to track them. These triumphs can be as simple as petting Archie in the tower, playing three 3v3s in the Crucible, or even talking to NPCs in different destinations!
