The best PC games worth buying right now

SteamThe summer sale is finally here, and with it come great discounts on everything from major triple-A releases to niche indie titles. Usually, the sale will run for about two weeks, giving you plenty of time to grab all the deals you're interested in before they're gone.

That said, with hundreds of games on sale, it can be hard to track down all the best deals, especially if they haven't already been on your wishlist. That's why we've compiled a list of some of the best deals you'll find during one of the best sales of the year!

The Steam Summer Sale is over July 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. PT, so until then be sure to grab all the deals you're looking for!

Resident Evil Requiem

$55.99 $69.99

Grace meets the girl in Resident Evil Requiem.

20 percent off might not be the best deal on this list, but considering this game is barely six months old, it's still a pretty crazy deal. This is only the second time this game has gone on sale on Steam since its release, with the first being earlier this month as part of Capcom's own sale, so I wouldn't expect to see it this low again anytime soon.

The games on this list are listed in order of current price at time of salenot the discount percentage or whether one game is better than the other.

The Steam Engine's performance can't keep up with the PS5 Pro despite its significantly higher price

Given the price difference, you'd expect more from the Steam Machine, but it doesn't seem like you're getting it.

19

Baldur's Gate 3

$44.99 $59.99

The player and his party standing in front of the Artifact in Baldur's Gate 3.

I doubt I need to tell you what this game is, but if you haven't played this Game of the Year 2023 winner, now is the time to grab it. $45 may still seem a bit steep compared to other discounts included in this sale, but BG3 has never been more than 25 percent off in its lifetime on Steam, so it's still the best deal you'll find.

18

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

35.99 44.99

gustaves are showering petals in darkened brightness. Sandfall Interactive

Since Clair Obscur was the most lucrative prize winner for 2025, I'd be shocked if you haven't already picked it up and tried it. Even if this game is outside of your normal interests, it's definitely worth playing, and you can get it right now with a 20 percent discount.

17

Borderlands 4

$34.99 $69.99

Rafa from Borderlands 4 cuts through two enemies with his blades.

Despite being out for less than a year, you can currently get Borderlands 4 for the lowest price ever on Steam, 50 percent off! That said, if you're also missing Borderlands 3, you can actually buy a bundle of B3 and B4 even cheaper than you can get B4 alone.

16

Elden Ring Nightreign

$29.99 $39.99

Player completing the Undertaker Remembrance quest in Elden Ring: Nightreign.

This is the third time Nightreign has been on sale since its release, and while the price isn't any lower than previous sales, it's still a great deal for this standalone adventure set in the world of one of the best games of the last decade.

15

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

$23.99 $59.99

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - A knight in armor rides through a forest full of corpses.

While it may not have been able to beat the beast that was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at the 2025 Game Awards, this GOTY nominee still earned its place among the best of the best of 2025, and you can now get it for more than half off its original launch price.

14

Persona

Persona 3 Reload $20.99 $59.99 | Persona 5 Royal $17.99 $59.99 | Metaphor ReFantazio $27.99 $69.99

The Joker stands with some of his confidantes in Persona 5 Royal.

With Persona 6 finally revealed during this year's Xbox Showcase held during Summer Game Fest, now is as good a time as any to get your hands on the series. Persona 4 will be releasing its remake soon for players to enjoy as well, but since you don't have to play them in any particular order, go ahead and grab Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal while you wait.

If you're more into a traditional fantasy setting, Atlus' Metaphor ReFantazio is also on sale!

13

God of War

God Of War $19.99 $49.99 | God Of War Ragnarok $40.19 $59.99

Kratos butted heads with Faye in God of War Ragnarok.

Contrary to popular belief, God of War Laufey is not a prequel and will instead run parallel to the events of God of War and God of War: Ragnarok, meaning you don't need any prior knowledge of God of War. However, some knowledge doesn't hurt, so if you've been wanting to catch up, now's your chance!

12

Deltarune

$19.99 $24.99

Sans in Deltarune, talking to Kris.

With the recent release of Chapter 5, there's no better time to grab Undertale's spiritual sequel to enjoy the remaining chapters as they come out.

11

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix

$19.99 $49.99
