You can play the same map twice Soft chameleon and have two completely different matches depending on the game mode. While the goal is always to hide from hunters or track down every hider before time runs out, game modes can completely change the way you approach the match.

There are currently three modes Mecca Chameleon:

Considering how often the developers of Meccha Chameleon update the game, we wouldn't be surprised if more game modes are added with future updates.

Basic

Basic is a classic Soft chameleon experience. At the start of a round, players are divided into two teams: Hiders and hunters. Hiders have a short time to paint themselves and find good cover while hunters wait for the search phase to begin.

Once the timer starts, hunters must search the map and catch every hider before time runs out. If even one hider manages to stay hidden until the end, he wins the round. It is the easiest mode in the game.

Infection

Infection begins much like Basic, with a small group of hunters scouring the map while everyone else hides. The twist comes when the hunter catches someone. Instead of being eliminated from the round, that player immediately joins the hunters and begins helping to find the remaining stashes.

As the match goes on, the number of hunters keeps growing. This makes it increasingly difficult for the last few hiding to stay alive.

If you plan to play Infection often, it pays to learn the best hideouts on each map.

Double

Double changes the formula by having everyone play both hider and hunter in the same round. At the beginning of the match, each player is given a short time to paint and find a good cover.

After the timer ends all players become hunters and start looking for each other. Since everyone has their own hideout on the map, the winner is decided by whoever manages to find the most players before the end of the match.

Only the lobby host can choose the game mode.
