Eiichiro Oda One piece is currently dealing with the climax of the Elbaf arc and is clearly one of the most exciting parts of the story, with massive battles lined up in the land of Giants. While the action portion of this arc was nothing short of sensational, Oda did not disappoint when it came to One piece lore either.
In the Elbaf arc, Eiichiro Oda officially set up the reveal of more gods and even introduced several divine entities. Sun God Nika has already appeared to us in One piece Chapter 1044 of March 28, 2022 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump #17. Eiichiro Oda also revealed a warrior god whose powers are currently controlled by Loki in One Piece Chapter 1175 on March 2, 2026. Finally, there is Nerona Imu, an evil god whose powers were officially revealed in chapter 1179. Thanks to these 3 gods, 3 more Elba events were finally officially revealed after Oda's revelation. arc and they are the God of the Forest, the God of Rain, and the God of the Earth, all officially mentioned in One Piece first in chapter 287 and later returning to prominence in Harley in One piece Chapter 1138.
One Piece Chapter 1182 officially sets up the reveal of the rain god Zaza, the forest god, and the earth god after Elbaf
Gods of One piece world were mentioned way back in the show's pre-time jump era, specifically in the Skypiea arc. In One Piece Chapter 287, which was officially released on August 11, 2003, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Double Issue #37-38, Eiichiro Oda showed some traditions of the Shandians when they were still living in Jaya and Noland had just visited them. Back then, the Shandians clearly prayed to four specific gods that existed in the land One piece world, and these were the Sun God, the Rain God, the Forest God, and the Earth God. When Skypiea was first written in the manga, most of the fans treated it as Shandian superstitions, most of us. However, when Luffy was confirmed as the Sun God of the World v One piece Chapter 1044 March 28, 2022 We immediately began to make the connection with the revelation of Skypie and understood that these Gods could potentially exist in the world of One Piece.

Quick redirect to Elbaf's One piece Chapter 1138, which was released on February 3, 2025, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #10, Eiichiro Oda revealed to us Harley, who told the story of a battle that was fought long ago and predicted a battle that would be fought in the future. These battles mentioned all of these gods, which officially confirms to us that 3 more gods will appear after the events of Elbaf. What really sealed the deal regarding these gods was One piece Chapter 1182, published on May 10, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump Issue #24. In this chapter, Saint Killingham used the powers of his Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, to manifest the rain god Zaza.
“We were born in a place so high up, it's above all the rain clouds. Water pouring down from the sky? It's a mysterious terror! After the people of D and Nik, it was the most common scarecrow they warned us about…that in the lower world there is a monster called the Rain God that pours water on your head!” — Saint Killingham officially explains the Rain God Zaza, One Piece Chapter #1182
Killingham also officially stated that along with the D-people and the Sun God, the rain god Zaza is an entity feared by all celestial dragons, confirming her existence in the One Piece world. With Rain God Zaza, the fear comes from his ability to manipulate the rain and release huge amounts of water on his head. All the heavenly dragons fear this divine being, and although we only saw the MMA version of the rain god Zaza, the true power of this god will be revealed in the Final Saga one way or another.
Why the rain god Zaza joins the sun god in the final saga
One piece Chapter 1182 also set up the rain god Zaza as an enemy of the world government, given that the Sky Dragons fear Zaza the same way they fear the D-people and the Sun God. Now it's officially confirmed in the story that Zaza will team up with the Sun God and decide to fight against the World Government. Whenever Zaza appears, this Divine entity will be fighting alongside Luffy, which is something we absolutely cannot wait for.
With the revelation of the rain god Zaza, two of the four gods mentioned in v One piece Chapter 287 has now been confirmed, which also establishes the existence of two more, those of the Forest God and the Earth God.

The Forest God of One Piece and the Earth God will be key in the Great War
He descended into the world with the Sun god Nika One piece and the rain god Zaza being officially introduced in Elbaf, our focus shifts to the forest god and earth god One piece world. Unfortunately, very little is currently known about these entities and we have no idea who might have these powers and when they will manifest. With One Piece in its final stretch, their reveal shouldn't be too far off now.
“There was breath in the Void. The Forest God tamed the demons and the Sun spread the fires of war. Those of the crescent dreamed. Those of the Moon dreamed. Man killed the Sun and became God, and the Sea God attacked. And they shall never meet again.” — Harley introduces the Forest God, One Piece Chapter #1138
The Forest God was briefly mentioned by Harley in One Piece Chapter 1138 and is said to have the power to send demons that could potentially bond with Devil Fruit users. How the Forest God will affect the Great War and whose side they will fight on remains to be seen. Then there's the Earth God who, looking at the narrative in Harley, was clearly fighting against the Sun God Niko. As such, the Earth God will likely oppose Luffy and the Rain God Zaza whenever it appears. We eagerly await the reveal of these three main gods after the events of Elbaf, and wonder who will hold these powers and how they will affect the flow of things in the final part of the story.
