Marvel Rivals has taken over the hero shooter genre, partly because it lets you play and battle other Marvel characters, but also because fans of the genre are unhappy with the state of Overwatch. Not only does the superhero shooter represent the beloved characters well, but the developers also made sure that their abilities lend well to the gameplay.

Overwatch Ignorance Enhanced My Time With The Marvel Rivals Beta
I've never played Overwatch, so I didn't endlessly compare it to Rivals during the beta.
However, Marvel Rivals is not without its faults. Similar to Blizzard's shooter, the lack of role locks has resulted in team metas where some roles are left out entirely. However, there also seems to be an issue with the third-person perspective that affects aiming accuracy in the game.
A little to the right
If you've ever taken the time to study the aiming accuracy of Marvel Rivals, you'll know that aiming slightly to the left of enemies leads to failure. While this sounds completely normal, aiming a little to the right of them seems to result in a direct hit. This also applies to melee attacks. This is not because the reticle is misplaced, but because of a known issue with third-person games.
As cavsalmostgotswept explained in a Reddit post, “It's not so much a Marvel Rivals thing, it's just a third-person spoof.” Other games like Fortnite and Deadlock have compensated for this problem, but Marvel Rivals doesn't seem to have solved this deceptive design yet.
Players have noted in the comments section that this is a common issue in TPS games that needs to be addressed during development. Smite was one of the nurtured games that also suffers from this problem, but the developers have had time to work on it.
“I have about 3000 hours on Smite and it's definitely not that bad/offset compared to Rivals,” said one comment. “I really wish it would be tweaked further to make it less extreme because you basically have to force yourself to do it No the target for the character model is very off the mark.”
Another comment noted that this is an issue that many fans have experienced since the beta. “I gave this as part of my feedback in both alpha and beta and it was never addressed. I really hope it gets more attention, it's a very frustrating part of the game for me.”
This seems to be a known issue with such games and the developers have found various ways around it. Let's hope Netease finds a way to do this for Marvel Rivals as well.
