How to find life expectancy
The Lifer is located in the central structure of the maze in Oakheart Highcourt, right under the roots of a giant tree. However, not all entrances to Lifer's location are accessible at launch. One entrance that is open by default can be found on the southwest side, in the same direction as the Resonance Beacon near Oakheart Highcourt. Players can climb the walls from the direction of the lighthouse or use the Flight function to fly through the maze.
Lifer board game
Once inside, players will find the Lifer next to a large board game with six game elements. The object of the game is to connect three pieces in a row before the Lifer does. The players control the black pieces while the Lifer controls the white. More importantly, the board game can manipulate the walls of the Oakheart Highcourt maze depending on the placement of the player's black pieces. Whenever a black piece is placed on the outer circle of the board, all walls and gates in that direction will open. Players can leave the current board game session at any time and the positions of the pieces will be preserved.
Although the board game is not required to fight the Lifer – players can choose to attack it directly – it is necessary to remove the Lifer's buffs. Winning the board game before removing the buffs is not recommended as the Lifer will immediately start the fight.
How to remove Lifer's Buffs
Lifer has seven buffs that make him extremely hard to beat without a highly invested team. Four of these buffs can be removed with an item called Imbalance betwhile the remaining three are permanent. Players can view these buffs via the glowing yellow module located just behind the Lifer's position.
Removable buffs (fragility):
-
Growing Loneliness: Lifer recovers 10% of his maximum HP every second after not being attacked for more than 2 seconds.
-
Desire for Escape: Increases Lifer's ATK by 25%. Additionally, the DMG dealt by the Lifer increases by an additional 25% every 20s.
-
Menacing Pat: Increases Lifer's ATK by 20% each time it deals DMG, up to 4 times. If Lifer does not deal any DMG within 6s, all stacks will be cleared.
-
Decay of Time: The Lifer gains 200% resistance to glacio, fusion, electro, aero, spectrum, and confusion. His Max HP is increased by 25%.
Permanent enthusiasts (stability):
-
Chains of Confinement: Lifer gains immunity to interruption when his HP is above 50%.
-
Endless Game: The duration of Lifer's immobilized state is reduced by 50%.
-
Divine Garden: After taking DMG above 25% of Max HP in a single hit, the Lifer repels nearby enemies and deals DMG to them.
To find Imbalance bet items, players must use the Sensor tool near the Lifer to reveal four purple lines indicating their location. These lines lead to four rooms on the outer ring of the maze. To get to each room, players must manipulate the game board by placing black pieces in the direction of the rooms and opening the corresponding walls and gates.
Figures retain their positions after leaving the game board, so players can advance towards each room one at a time.
Once the gate opens, follow the path to the room at the end of it where the winged statue is located. Two of the rooms will require players to defeat Tacet Discords, one will involve breaking crumbling rocks, and the final stake of imbalance can be found on the table. Each Imbalance bet is marked with a white glow, making it easy to find and collect.
After getting the Imbalance Stake, place it in the pod in front of the respective statue to remove the associated buff from the Lifer. After removing the buff, the purple line will turn yellow when viewed through the sensor.

Defeat Lifer
After removing all four buffs, players can go back and face Lifer on a much more manageable difficulty level. They can either win the board game or choose “Battle it out!” on the chair to start the battle. Without its four removable buffs, the Lifer is only marginally stronger than a regular Chop Chop found in the wild. Without his buffs, none of Lifer's abilities—striking, grappling, or spinning—are a significant threat or deal significant damage.
Defeating a Lifer for the first time rewards the player with a premium supply chest. A second victory brings another Premium Supply Chest along with three basic Supply Chests. The third and final victory is awarded by an Advanced Supply Chest and three Standard Supply Chests.
Players also have the option to reactivate buffs by interacting with the same four modules, providing more challenging combat. However, there are no achievements associated with defeating a Lifer with all buffs activated.
Lifer Achievements
In addition to chests, players can also earn four achievements related to Lifer and his board game.
-
The Lifer's Salvation: Defeat the Lifer in Oakheart Highcourt.
-
The Ring of The Lifer: Get all the treasures guarded by the Lifer
-
Limit of Intelligence: Win against a Lifer in a game at Oakheart Highcourt.
-
Alpha Go: Lose to the Lifer 10 times in a game at Oakheart Highcourt.
For players trying to beat the Lifer in the board game, focus on blocking his lane attempts. Eventually, the Lifer will get impatient and make an obvious mistake, allowing the player to capitalize.
