Days before Plunderstorm game mode returns to World of WarcraftBlizzard has revealed some of the pirate-themed rewards players can earn, including pets, mounts, and cosmetic packs. New World of Warcraft rewards will be available through Plunderstore, which replaces the old Renown track and gives Plunderstorm players more options in choosing the rewards they want.

Originally introduced during Patch 10.2.6 Dragonflight The expansion, Plunderstorm is a battle royale PVP game mode on the store World of Warcraft client that pits up to 60 players against each other in the Arathi basin. Blizzard Announces Six New Warcraft Conventions

Blizzard is kicking off 2025 with a bang by announcing six conventions to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Warcraft taking place in the first half of the year.

Almost a year after the first iteration of Plunderstorm arrived World of Warcraftthe Battle Royale game mode returns with new rewards. According to Blizzard's social media post, some of the rewards that World of Warcraft players can earn by playing Plunderstorm, including the Hooktalon and Plunderlord's Midnight Crocolisk mounts, the Sparklesnap and Parley battle pets, and the Plunderlord's Stormridden Finery transmog set. Each new Plunderstorm item is a darkened recolor of a cosmetic previously available as a Renown reward. In response to player feedback, Blizzard significantly changed Plunderstorm's reward structure and subsequently removed Renown in favor of Plunderstore. Players can spend Plunder, earned by playing Plunderstorm normally, on rewards available in both The war within and World of Warcraft: The Classics.

World of Warcraft Reveals New Plunderstorm Rewards

Along with the return of Plunderstorm, World of Warcraft will offer a new Twitch Drops reward to users who link their Twitch and Battle.net accounts. After watching for up to four hours World of Warcraft content on Twitch through any participating channel, the dastardly Azure Target will appear in players' transmog collections as a back piece. The Twitch Drops campaign will run from January 14th to February 4th, giving players three weeks to claim their cosmetic reward.

Plunderstorm will come World of Warcraft from January 14 to February 18. Whether the thrilling battle royale mode returns as an annual event is up to the players and Blizzard.
