The console reveals that it seems like we've all been waiting forever for it to finally happen. Nintendo Switch 2 is real. Nintendo confirmed this itself by providing a first look at the Switch's successor, noting that we'll have to wait until April 2, 2025 for a full reveal, which will likely include its price, release date, and a better look at its launch games. . However, right after this Direct, some of you will have the chance to be among the first people in the world to use Switch 2.
To accompany the Switch 2 reveal trailer, the new console also has its own page, which is now live on various Nintendo websites in different countries. This page has information regarding something Nintendo has called the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience. A truly global journey for a new console, during which potential customers will be able to experience Nintendo's next generation console before its release.

The tour starts on April 4thso two days after the Switch 2 Direct, after which we will learn a lot more about the console. It will start in Paris and New York and stay there until April 6 before moving on to other cities in Europe, the UK and North America. Nintendo fans in Japan and other Asian countries will be able to partake in Switch 2 experiences from April 26, and a date for Melbourne, Australia has been announced for May (thanks, VGC).

What it looks like, practical events it will not end before June 1, 2025. While this is far from a confirmation, it strongly suggests that the Switch 2 release date won't be until mid-June. It would be a little weird if Nintendo held events where people could be among the first to play the Switch 2 when the Switch 2 is already available for purchase.
Being among the first to spin the Switch 2 will require more than just showing up on the day. There's a link on the respective Switch 2 pages in each part of the world where people can request event tickets, similar to the ticket system Nintendo uses for its museum in Japan.
Ticket registration opens January 17th at 3pm EST in the US and will close at 11:59 PM local time on January 26 for each of the three events (New York, Los Angeles and Dallas). You don't have to rush to register. If you do so within this window, you'll have the same chance as anyone else to get a seat at the event, as attendees will be randomly selected and notified once the registration period ends.
Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 is the successor to the Nintendo Switch, which is scheduled for release in 2025. Confirmed to be backwards compatible, it will play both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games. The full reveal is written for April 2, 2025.
