A Guide to the Equitable Distribution Agreement in Marathon

Equitable Distribution is the priority Traxus contract that players receive after joining a faction, and it is also the contract with the most steps. This contract consists of 4 parts and will require you to hunt both items and enemies. That's why we have this guide to help you overcome the dangers that await you.

How to complete the Traxus introductory contract in Marathon

Players can join the Traxus faction in Marathon by completing a priority contract that takes them to Dire Marsh. Here are all the steps to take.

How to complete a fair distribution [1/4] in Marathon

Get the self erasing data disk from the second floor Hauler

1. Head to the Perimeter and go west to the Hauler.

2. Enter the second floor by taking the stairs.

3. A self-erasing data disk is located in a cabinet on the west wall.

Deliver the data disk to DCON within the time limit

1. With a self erasing data disk you have a 3 minute timer to get it to DCON.

2. Open the map and look for the DCON icon.

3. There are about 4 in each corner of the map, with the closest being north of the North Array.

4. Communicate with DCON and drag the self-erasing data disk from your inventory to DCON's inventory.

This step requires you to enter the perimeter map and immediately head to Hauler, the POI to the west. Here, the second floor will have a server room against the west wall, which contains a cabinet with a self-erasing data disk.

Once you pick it up, a 3 minute timer will start. Failure of the timer means you will have to try another match. Therefore, you should only pick up the self-erasing data disk when DCONs appear on the map. Simply take the self-erasing data disk to the DCON and insert it.

How to complete a fair distribution [2/4] in Marathon

Summon the transport drone via the terminal on the second floor in the kelp ponds

1. Start the Dire Marsh map and head to the center of the map to the kelp ponds.

2. The main building, south of “LG” in “Algae” on the map, contains a terminal.

3. On the second floor you will find a laboratory with a terminal. Interacting with it will start the audio transmission.

Exfil UESC and Manifest drone deliveries

1. Head to the center of Algae Marsh and look south.

2. After the sound plays, the transport drone will launch and fly directly north.

3. Find and shoot the transport drone.

4. Loot Transport Drone for “UESC Supplies” and “Drone Manifest”.

5. Exfil from Dire Marsh with both items in your inventory.

Both of these steps can be completed in Dire Marsh by the Algae Ponds. The second floor of the blue building contains a terminal with which you can listen to sound and create a transport drone.

After destroying the Transport Drone (which follows the northern road), you can loot the UESC supplies and the Drone Manifest. All that's left to do is extract using these items.

How to complete a fair distribution [3/4] in Marathon

Scan the drones in the tunnels under the station (0/3)

1. Enter the Perimeter and head northeast to the station.

2. Inside the main building, you can head inside and go down the stairs to find the garage.

3. Inside you can find several drones that can be scanned.

4. One is on the platform to the right.

5. The other one is by the crane on the shelf.

6. The last one is in the southeast corner.

Deliver Unstable Gunmetal Resources to DCON in Perimeter (0/7)

1. Unstable Gunmetal can normally be scavenged around the station.

2. Once you find 7, locate DCON by opening the map.

3. The nearest DCON should be south of the station.

4. Drag Unstable Gunmetal from your inventory to DCON.

Both of these steps can be done from the station, POI in the perimeter. To begin with, it's best to head to the main station building and enter the garage area via the stairs that take you into the tunnels. You will find a lot of drones, but only some of them can be communicated with.

You can track it as a valuable item in Unstable Gunmetal, but you'll find a lot of stuff in Station. With 7 or more, head to the DCON icon on the map and insert them to complete the quest.

How to complete a fair distribution [4/4] in Marathon

Trace Commander location on terminal south of South Relay

1. Enter the perimeter map and head to the unmarked location south of South Relay.

2. You'll find a small facility here that you can enter through a hatch on the roof.

3. There are explosive traps inside, so be careful.

4. Find the terminal in the northern room and activate it.

5. You can leave by destroying the 4 red light boxes inside the facility.

Get login information from the UESC Commander

1. The location of the UESC Commander will be marked on the map (ours was the Northern Relay).

2. Ignore the timer because that's when the UESC commander starts, not when he leaves.

3. Reach the POI that contains the UESC commander and kill him along with his soldiers.

4. Loot UESC Commander for UESC credentials.

This last part of the quest will take you back to the Perimeter, where you'll need to start in the South Relay. Head south of the South Relay to find a small device near the edge of the map and inside the baited building is a terminal that reveals the location of the UESC Commander.

Use the UESC commander's location to open the map and find out where he is, then head there. The timer is nothing to worry about as it just tells you when it appears. With his arrival and death, you can pick up the UESC Credentials item and complete the quest.
