Redditor Rytogem had a happy surprise when he opened a Dollar General Ultraball and pulled out a Gardevoir ex card. The 310 HP card has a sparkling decoration, Psychic Embrace, Miracle Force and “ex rule” abilities. It's all wrapped up in a beautiful illustration signed by Jiro Sasumo that features a Psychic-type Pokémon interacting with two humans. The card, which a lucky fan says is their first full art draw, is one of 25 Sasuma illustrations. The artist is responsible for other cards such as Galarian Moltres V, Altaria ex, and the Ralts and Kirlia cards that are related to OP Gardevoir ex.
History of Pokemon TCG cards dedicated to Gardevoir
Rytogem's Gardevoir ex is one of the cards in Scarlet and Violet file that has five additional illustrations. One of them is a print signed by PLANET Tsuji, another by Kuroimori, while three are by N-DESIGN Inc., two of them are ultra rare and one is common. This is one of 26 cards to feature a Hoenn Pokémon in trading card history, and is the most recent. In addition Scarlet and Violet expansion, players can find Gardevoir ex v Paldean fatesthe second special Pokemon TCG expansion released during Gen 9.
While Gardevoir is one of the ex cards released this year, it's not the only one that fans can find in expansions from the Gen 9 era. With the release Star crown On September 13, more than 30 former cards were introduced, including one for Terapagos, a legendary Pokémon from Paldea. Hitting shelves on November 8th, Surging Sparks brought over 20 former cards, including fan favorites like Milotic and Flygon.
