First mentioned in Amazon Lily, Fisher Tiger was a great Fishman who freed countless slaves in Marijoa.

IN One piece chapter 1167, Fisher Tiger was seen running in chains when he ran into Shanks. The Crimson God Sword quickly hit his chains and even opened his armorytelling Tiger his location. Tiger then proceeded to use the weapons in the armory to cause a massive fire, using it as an opportunity to free the slaves and escape.

Shanks helping the Fisher Tiger has wider implications in the story. after all Fisher Tiger freed many slaves on Marijoa, including Boa Hancock and her two sisters, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold, and even a Koala..
Boa Hancock's release definitely changed the trajectory of the story. Without her, Luffy might have died multiple times in his efforts to save Ace. Hancock was the one who got Luffy safely into Impel Down, and then she saved his life several times during the Summit War.
