This article contains spoilers from One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
Eiichiro Oda is currently researching the Final Saga of One pieceas the Straw Pirates find themselves in the land of giants, also known as Warland Elbaf. This story arc has been absolutely incredible so far and fans know it will continue to thrill them Oda reveals key information from Loki's flashback.
Say hello to the strongest ability out of one piece
There are many overpowering abilities in One Piece, but this one stands out as the strongest.
After years of waiting, the Loki flashback gave fans a proper look at Rocks D. Xebec, something everyone had been eagerly waiting for since he was first mentioned about 6 years ago. Oda even went on to introduce the events the God Valley incident fans, which was another surprise for everyone. The event revealed a lot of key details to fans about individuals like Imu and more importantly, he also went on to confirm the most powerful pirate in the entire world. While most believed that Rocks was the strongest pirate, right after God Valley it is very clear Gol D. Roger went on to beat him. Roger was nowhere near his peak in God Valleyand on top of that, he injured Domi Reversi'd Rocks, which is much stronger than the real Rocks and has an immortal body.
One Piece's strongest pirate is Gol D. Roger

Roger and Garp Beat Rocks

Roger got stronger after God Valley
Most fans One piece he believed that Rocks D. Xebec was the strongest pirate, not counting the pirates that existed in the Void Century and that fans know very little about. Rocks D. Xebec was certainly strong and even named after him the whole time. His power was absolutely immense and he even killed the admiral rather with ease. However, Rocks was not the strongest in the entire modern history of One Piece. The fact is that Roger went on to overtake him. This is evident from the narrative shown to fans Roger and Garp fight the Domi Reversi'd Rocks.
For those who don't remember, Domi Reversi offers users three things:
-
It offers an immortal body
-
It offers a significant increase in strength
-
It drives them crazy
It is a fact that The Rocks who fought Roger and Garp were much stronger than the real Rocks D. Xebec. Domi Reversi has also strengthened the Haki of Rocks, due to this Conqueror's Haki grows stronger as the user's strength increases.
Follow me and I'll show you what lies on top of the world. — Rocks D. Xebec to Rocks Pirates
in spite of Roger's strongest technique, i.e. Kagutsuchi: Aceit was strong enough to break through Rocks' heightened Haki. in other words Roger's normal attacks would hurt a normal Rocky. To take it a step further, the story clearly states that Roger was not on top during the God Valley incident. At the time of God Valley, Roger was a respectable pirate, but he was not the Great Pirate. He achieved this title later and had it about 26 years ago, which is when he was at his strongest.
Roger became the king of the pirates
Only a few years later, Roger became the pirate king and was recognized as the strongest and greatest pirate. His legacy remains intact to this day. Of course, that's not to say that Rocks wasn't strong or that he couldn't be compared to Roger. He's still a beast, but Roger was definitely not weaker than him, and the canon facts from the manga support that.
Time to welcome another Gol D. Roger in one piece
Roger's successor has been revealed and it's not Luffy in One Piece.
Do you want my treasure? Find it if you want it! I left it there! — Gol D. Roger, One Piece
Joy Boy was probably the strongest of the old era
Roger was most likely the most powerful pirate of modern times, with Rocks and Whitebeard coming closest to his throne. But during the Void Century, Joy Boy probably existed as the strongest. He was the First Pirate, as explained by Oda in the Egghead arc, and his Haki was clearly shown to be absolutely majestic. This was Joy Boy's strongest Haki and it caused pain to Ima as well. This suggests that Joy Boy was a monster himself.
Hopefully, fans will see more of Joy Boy in the futureas well as Roger before the start of the Great Pirate Erauntil his execution.
