Rika returns in a new chapter of JJK Modulo
When Jujutsu Kaisen module Fans were surprised to see that there was a massive time jump. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo takes place 68 years after the end of the Sukuna Raid in which Yuji Itadori defeated the King of Curses for good. The fact that this new story took place many decades later meant that the vast majority of the main cast of the series had already died. This would also mean that Gege probably wouldn't introduce too many new characters into the plot. However, against all odds, Gege managed to tease characters from the old generation every now and then.
In the very first chapter, Gege Akutami reintroduced Gojo Satoru, Yuji Itadori, Yuta Okkotsu and even Maki Zenin in the story. Of course, not all of them returned to the plot as characters to drive the story forward, but some certainly had potential, such as Yuji. In both cases, the fans could clearly see it Gege Akutami was clearly set on slowly incorporating the characters of the older generation into the plotespecially where it made sense. This is exactly why Yuji Itadori is so important to the overall storyline of JJK Modulo right now.
It should also be kept in mind that as Modulo draws to a close, these old generation characters will become more and more relevant, and since the final battles have now begun, fans are waiting for the legends of the old era to appear. Of course, people like Yuta and Maki can't show up because they're already dead. Nobara is incredibly old to be doing anything, and Megumi is most certainly dead at this point. The only character that fans are waiting for at the moment is Yuji Itadori, the current new strongest generation wizard. But many fans also forget about another important character, Rika.
Rika is the Queen of Curses and one of the most powerful characters from the original JJK series. Against all odds, Rika has now officially appeared in JJK Modulo and is here to stay for the final battle against Maru.
Rika is officially back in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
-
Rika was meant for Yuka Okkotsu
-
She has now teamed up with Tsurugi Okkotsu
The Curse Queen, Rika was a very important part of the original JJK series. In fact, Gege Akutami actually wrote Riku into the story before JJK even started, given that it actually comes from JJK0, the prequel to Jujutsu Kaisen. Rika and Yuta had a very strong connection, due in large part to the love they shared. As fans know, Yuta cursed Riko, but later became a source of power for him. With the Copy power at their disposal, Yuta and Rika form a formidable duo unmatched by many in the story. JJK.
Their true strength was shown in the big battles that came later in the story, such as the clash against Ryomen Sukun in the Showdown Shinjuku arc. With Rika, Yuta was clearly a threat. At the end even Sukuna came to admire him and that was a really proper display of his strength.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami officially kills off its main character
The continuation of JJK marked the beginning of a new era of the series. The death of the main character Gege is now official.
Oh, that sucks. You really went after her. But I will help you because I promised Yuto that I would. Say I accept and I'll help you. — Rika to Tsurugi Okkotsu in JJK Modulo
Now, 69 years later, Rika is officially back. In the latest chapter of JJK, fans saw Tsurugi being overpowered by Maru in a fight after his full awakening.. Maru was clearly going to kill Tsurugi at this point, and that's what happened Rika decided to stop. Rika forced Tsurugi to accept her powerand when he did, the two seemed to merge. This is a new form of power that Rika apparently unlocked at some point and maybe even Yuta gained access to this form. Regardless, now Tsurugi has access to Rika's power, and fans finally get another look at the Queen of Curses in JJK Modulo.
Rika could become Tsurugi's permanent power
When JJK Modulo officially started, it was very clear to the fans Rika was actually a power-up meant for Yuka Okkotsu. Yuta entrusted Riku to Yuta himself, and Tsurugi didn't want to inherit her power at all, as he was more interested in following in Maki Zenin's footsteps. But in a twist of fate, Riko's power has now become Tsurugi's. It is still unclear if Rika is now permanently bound to Tsurugi or not. The fact is that Rika was taken in by Tsurugi and usually when a bond is formed it is not broken.
This means that things can change drastically later after the final battle. after all Yuka was the one who was promised Rika's power. If Yuca manages to survive, Rika will most likely go after her. On the other hand, if Yuka really does die, then it's quite obvious that Tsurugi will continue to hold her powers. At this point, the chance of Rika becoming Tsurugi's permanent power is very high.
Yuta wished that Rika would switch to Yuka Okkotsu
As far as Yuta's own wishes go, fans know that he entrusted Rika's power to Yuca. This must be important to the story because Yuta clearly knew both of his grandchildren. He definitely loved Tsurugi too, and that goes without saying. Despite this, he knew this power was more suitable for Yuka Okkotsu. For some reason, Yuta made this important decision and it must lead to something later. In fact, it would actually be very strange if Yuta Rice didn't mention protecting Yuka.
Rika even mentioned in the latest chapter of JJK Modulo that Yuta promised not to let any of his grandchildren be harmed.. in that case it's rather strange why Rika hasn't helped Yuka Okkotsu with the brain tumor yet. Perhaps this is a plot point that will be explored later once Rika bonds with Yuka Okkotsu. Either way, fans absolutely can't wait to see what's to come in JJK Modulo.
