Of course, Monkey D. Luffy is the primary user of Gear 5 in One Piece. Luffy was the first person to be seen using this power, and he did so in the Wano Country Arc. After his immense fight against Kaido, Luffy faced certain death and even his voice completely disappeared, marking his end. However, it was at this point Luffy's mind and body caught up with his abilities, and so the Nika fruit finally awakened.
Luffy was able to defeat Kaid with Gear 5's powerand has since continued to use this ability against various powerful enemies such as Kizaru and the Five Elders. The potential of Gear 5 is huge and Luffy can improve its use even more.

Jewelry Bonney is a very important character in the Final Saga of One Piece. In the Egghead arc, she took the front seat by becoming the deuteragonist of the arc, and it was here that she used the power of the Gear 5 for the first time. Bonney was able to use Gear 5 thanks to her own Devil Fruit, Toshi Toshi no Mi.

By this logic, Bonney was able to acknowledge the existence of Sun God Nik by witnessing Luffy using his Gear 5. Knowing that it was possible, Bonney was also able to use this Devil Fruit ability to transform into Nika herself. In her Nika form, Bonney is tremendously powerful and was even able to deal fatal blows to Saint Saturn as seen in the Egghead arc. Before Luffy, there was another Gear 5 user in One Piece and that is Joy Boy. Joy Boy existed long ago during the Void Centuryas confirmed in the Egghead story arc. He was the previous user of Hito Hito no Mi, model: Nikaand he used his powers extremely well. How Joy Boy ate the Devil Fruit remains unknown, but it is already clear in the story that he actually used the fruit's powers and that he was the previous Nika.
He fought twenty kings of the world with his abilities and this battle raged for many years. Joy Boy eventually lost the battle and died, however his will was now inherited by none other than Luffy. Fans will definitely get a good look at Joy Boy with the Gear 5 once his own flashback begins, which should be at some point in the final saga.

Long before Joy Boy, the original Sun God Nika he also existed in the world of One Piece. This was confirmed in the Elbaf arc of One Piece. Years ago, fans believed that Joy Boy was the first Nika Sun God, but now it's clear the first Nika appeared during the First World, which was approximately 3000 years ago.
It was there that the Sun god Nika first fought, which means this particular deity was the first Gear 5 user in One Piece. Very little is known about this individual, but according to Harley, Nika faced the Hellfire Serpent and the Earth God together, and their battle ravaged the entire world. It was many years after the destruction of the entire world that life re-formed and this is where the second world took place where Joy Boy appeared.
