IN Heartopiayou'll come across all sorts of hidden treasures, from the friendships you make with your neighbors to the resources you collect across the island. Each of them is unique, but there is nothing quite as magical as friendship with wildlife.
To make friends with the animals in Heartopia, you'll need to find not only their favorite foods, but also their troughs in the wild. We break down everything you need to know to become a friend of nature in no time! Here's how to get started with Animal Care features and deepen your bond with animals.
How to unlock animal care
As you progress through the main story and upgrade your Developer's Guild level, you'll unlock the Animal Care section of your Town Guide. With him you will chat with Annie to learn about the various wild animals on the island. Each one is unique and sticks to a specific area and they like their own mix of foods.

Sea, how many fish can you catch!
As part of the quest, Annie asks you to find a feeding trough for the Sika deer in the forest. Fill it with food from your inventory and then wait a while for the animals to eat it. This will increase your bond with the group of animals and you can fill the trough over time.
While you can track a trough once you find it in the Animals app on your watch, it's a good idea to place a marker on the map so you don't forget where it is.
As your bond level increases with each group of animals, you will increase specific stats with them. This includes the probability of an animal visiting, successfully interacting, and leaving a gift at the trough.
Additionally, each group of animals has specific interactions, from just petting and feeding to playing games like hide and seek. As a sign of your friendship, you'll also unlock specific furniture from the animal family, so be sure to play with all the animals you find!
Each animal instead of a trough and favorite food Feeding the animal its favorite food(s) will increase its bond with you faster!
