Nintendo appears to have some sort of deal with Oreos as both Pokemon and Mario have teamed up with the world’s most famous cookie in recent years. Printing various characters onto the Oreos themselves, both collaborations have caused quite a stir when announced and then again when the limited edition cookies went on sale. So much so that when the $5 packs of Super Mario Oreos were released in June, they immediately sold out and were then being sold for ten times that amount on resale sites.

There was no indication that the Super Mario x Oreo team-up was going to continue, hence some people thinking they could make $50 from a pack of cookies. Thankfully, Mario and Oreo’s relationship didn’t end after one wave of biscuits. There are more in stock at Amazon right now, and not only do they not cost anything close to $50, but they’re even cheaper than the regular price they sold for at launch.

There is a little something you need to do to make sure you get that extra money off, but it’s nothing major. It’s also an offer open to everyone and not one tied to a Prime subscription like some other Amazon deals. The Amazon link above will take you to the Super Mario Oreos store page. There you will see them listed for $4.49, but if you check the “Apply $1 coupon” box right below that price, you’ll get the cookies for just $3.49.

If you have been in the market for some Super Mario Oreos since they were first revealed, I’d recommend acting fast. As soon as cookie scalpers (how is that a real thing?) get wind of this deal, Amazon will likely run out of stock pretty quickly. I’d also recommend picking up a few packets if you can. Not so you can sell them on, but because there are 16 designs to find and just two cookies in each pack.

Yes, we are living in a world where collectible cookies are a thing. Among the 16 designs waiting to be found are Mario, Bowser, Luigi, the Fire Flower, Bowser Jr, and more. There’s no Princess Peach Oreo, though. That’s because the theme behind the crossover is that Bowser has kidnapped Peach. The standard Mario storyline, and you can scan the QR codes on the limited edition Oreo packs to help Mario find her.
