The highly-praised casual visual novel titled The Wreck by The Pixel Hunt, which is responsible for the BAFTA-nominated game Bury Me, My Love, is now available on both Android and iOS platforms. Following its earlier release on PC and Console earlier this year, The Wreck earned recognition with a Bestest Best rating from Rock Paper Shotgun, received a Platinum Award from Thumb Culture, and garnered an Honorable Mention for Excellence in Narrative from the IGF in the same year.
The Wreck is a mature 3D visual novel about sisterhood, motherhood, grief, and survival
In the narrative, players accompany Junon, an unsuccessful screenwriter, as she strives to navigate the most crucial day in her existence. She faces the challenge of engaging in challenging discussions and reconstructing the moments that led to her current predicament.
With her mother’s health in a critical state and her own mental state on the verge of crumbling, Junon finds herself compelled to revisit her past, make changes in the present, and welcome the future with open arms. Failure to do so could result in a disastrous conclusion to her story. Here are some of the features of the game:
- Explore Junon’s scattered thoughts through interactive text and dialogue
- Meet a small cast of nuanced, complex characters
- Assemble a non-linear narrative exploring themes of trauma & recovery
- Experience the powerful story from the creators of Bury Me, My Love
Experience Junon’s memories and piece together the story of her past, including the tragic secret that lies at its center. Use your understanding of Junon’s trauma to change how she navigates the day, unlocking new dialogue options and healing broken relationships. The Wreck is now available on Android and iOS.
