Holly Candy has Neighbours reunion with Janet Andrewartha

Former Neighbours star Holly Valance – now going by her married name, Holly Candy – has surprised fans by reuniting with the actress who played her mother on the iconic Aussie soap.

Candy posted a couple of photos to her Twitter account today, showing her sitting down at home to watch an episode of Neighbours alongside Australian actress Janet Andrewartha.

Candy, 40, played Felicity Scully on Neighbours from 1999 to 2002, while Andrewartha, 72, played her mother Lyn Scully from 1999 up until 2019.

Prolific TV actress Andrewartha is visiting the UK where she appeared at a fan convention for another beloved Australian TV show, Prisoner, in Birmingham last week.

“Just at home watchin’ tele with me Ma,” Candy captioned the photos, along with a love heart.

Candy made a surprise return to the soap that made her famous in July last year, when she and fellow Neighbours success story Natalie Imbruglia appeared in a scene together for the series’ then-finale.

The scene, filmed in London where the two stars are based nowadays, showed their characters bumping into each other and comparing stories about their time on Ramsay St.

Both went on to enjoy successful musical careers after Neighbours, with Imbruglia releasing six albums including the worldwide smash Left of the Middle. Valance’s musical career burned bright but briefly, with a string of hit singles in the early noughties before she largely turned her back on performing. She married billionaire property developer Nick Candy in 2012.

She has popped up in some surprising places – like former US President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate in April last year, where she and her husband cosied up for a meet-and-greet with the man himself.

Later that year, the couple were photographed attending the UK Conservative Party’s Summer Ball.

And in August this year, she was spotted sporting a new look on a rare night out with her husband in London.
