  • The one who didn’t run away

Fate 2 Season of the Deep is here, along with two new activities to complete and some big changes to the sandbox. What hasn’t changed much is the seasonal challenge system. These time-sensitive triumphs serve as your main source of XP and Bright Dust throughout the season, accessed through the quests tab of your menu.

In the depths of I

Destiny 2 Season Wings Deep HELM

In depth I: Complete the Week 1 mission “Into the Depths”.

Award

“Into the Depths” is a seasonal mission for Season of the Deep. You will be sent to Titan when you first log in this season to complete a short story mission. Complete this mission and visit HELM to get the quest line. You will then have to complete the first set of objectives, where you will have to play Salvage and Deep Dive.

Front Line Salvager I

Destiny 2 Lightfall Hunter Strand

Front Line Salvager I: Complete Salvage or Deep Dive activities while using the Arc or Strand subclass. Additionally, defeat Fallen anywhere in the system.

Award

This challenge requires you to complete three Season of the Deep activities and defeat 50 fallen fighters. Season of the Deep activities include rescue and deep diving. The first boss for Deep Dive will cause your run to always spawn a Fallen, so we recommend farming this activity if the Servitor is the last boss of the week. If not, Farm Salvage.

A successful rescuer

Destiny 2 Rescue Site Reliability

A successful rescuer: Successfully complete tasks in rescue activities.

Award

A successful Salvager requires five successfully completed tasks in rescue. Jobs are the objectives your fire team receives before teleporting to the final boss arena. Since you will receive three quests per run, you will need at least two runs. Check out our solving guide for tips on completing each type of task.

The one who didn’t run away

Destiny 2 Deep Guardian Fishing Season-1

The one who didn’t run away: Catch fish in any pond. Additionally, complete public events at any destination.

Award

This challenge requires you to catch 50 fish and complete two public events. Fishing spots can be found in EDZ, Nessus, or Savathun’s Throne World, which seemingly change weekly. You can view your tackle box in your inventory and see where the ponds are currently located. Everything works here for public events. EDZ usually has one active if you want to do it quickly.

EDZ activities

Destiny 2 EDZ Trostland

EDZ activities: In the EDZ, you earn progress by completing rewards, patrols, public events, and lost sectors.

Awards

To complete this you will need to complete activities on the EDZ. We recommend it buying bounties from Devrim Kay and farming nearby lost sectors. Rewards will be passively completed as you clear each lost sector, providing a solid chunk of progress in a short amount of time. If that’s not enough, you can farm patrols while waiting for public events to appear.

Spark Defender: Collect points in Rift. Additional progress is awarded for igniting the Rift.

Awards

Score 50 points in Crucible’s Rift game mode to complete this triumph. You can find Rift as a weekly rotating playlist or in a competitive playlist. In this mode, you score points by carrying the Spark, eliminating Spark carriers, and lighting Rifts with your Carried Spark. Essentially, play around with Spark to get it done quickly. If you can escort the Spark to the enemy’s Rift, even better.

Standard Edition

Destiny 2 Gambit Warlock vs Taken Ogre

Standard Edition: Defeat targets in Gambit with primary ammo. Additional advancement is granted for the use of automatic rifles, hand cannons and scout rifles. Additional progress is also awarded for defeating the Guardians.

Awards

This challenge requires you to Defeat 100 enemies in Gambit using your primary weapon. Anything that uses primary ammo will count, but you’ll progress twice if you use hand cannons, scout rifles, or assault rifles. You will also gain extra progress if you kill the guardian.

We recommend equipping the Centrifuse or Sunshot for this challenge as both guns have great extra kill potential. Focus on killing all the extras you see and you should be able to complete this challenge in one playthrough, two at most.

Fallen fall

Destiny 2 The Devils Lair Sepiks Main Servitor Boss

Fallen Fall: Defeat fallen fighters in playlists or Vanguard raids. Earn extra progress for defeating stronger fighters.

Awards

Fallen Fall requires 200 Fallen kills in Vanguard Ops or Nightfall activities. You can either wait for the Fallen-themed Nightfall to appear, or create a Vanguard Ops playlist and hope for a Fallen strike to appear. For special hits, The Devils’ Lair and Glassway are solid hits that contain a lot of fallen enemies.

Close range calibration

Destiny 2 Osteo Striga Exotic

Close range calibration: Calibrate melee weapons – sidearms, assault rifles, slingshots, chute and swords. Extra progress for defeating the Guardians.

Awards

Defeat 200 enemies with sidearms, SMGs, lances, glaives, or swords. We highly recommend using an SMG or Sidearm for this challenge. Huckleberry, Osteo Striga, and Trespasser are great options for this.

When it comes to killing enemies, you have quite a few options. The Shuro Chi checkpoint in the Last Wish raid is arguably the best, though you can’t go wrong with Lost Sectors in Savathun’s Throne World or Neomun. The initial encounter in the Grasp of Avarice dungeon is also a great spot for quick farm kills.
