Divorced A-lister seen with rumoured ex

Former child star turned chic fashion designer Mary Kate Olsen was spotted hanging out with her ex-boyfriend, retired hockey player Sean Avery.

The two were seen together at TV host Andy Cohen’s annual Memorial Weekend party.

As usual, Mary-Kate, 37, wore something oversized and teamed it with small sunglasses, while Sean, 44, reminded everyone that he was once a sports star by staying jock chic and wearing his hat backwards.

They were rumored to be dating in 2007, but they broke up and married very different people, and now they are apparently dating again.

Mary Kate married French banker Olivier Sarkozy (55), and Sean married model Hilary Rhoda. None of their marriages lasted. Mary Kate and Olivier married in 2015, but tied the knot in 2020 at the height of the pandemic.

Sean and Hilary got married in 2015 and divorced in 2022. They have a son, Nash, who was born in 2020.

A hockey player dating Mary Kate might seem like a bit of a random couple. Together with her twin sister Ashley, Mary Kate left her acting career and founded the ready-to-wear brand The Row, where a plain white T-shirt will cost you more than $400.

The sisters are highly regarded in the fashion industry and have completely transformed themselves.

So how did Mary Kate end up in a relationship with a sports star? Well, Sean happens to have a background in fashion.

Of course he showed up too Dancing with the stars after a sports career, but reality TV aside, he’s a bit of a fashionista.

In 2008, he was an intern at a fashion show Vogue. During his hockey career, he said he would receive “verbal abuse” from opposing players on the ice for his unforgiving interest in fashion.

Before retiring in 2012, Sean played for three teams, including The New York Rangers, but that didn’t deter him from the world of fashion.

In 2008, he said that he was involved in sports at the time, but did not follow or read about sports; instead, his interest remained in fashion.

“It turns some women on. My teammates are very supportive and cool about my interest in fashion. Sometimes they even ask me for advice on what to wear,” he said Vogue.
