Chaos outside courthouse amid Trump verdict

Chaotic scenes briefly erupted outside a New York court where Donald Trump was sentenced in his historic embezzlement trial.

Mr Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of fraud by falsifying business records, the first time a former US president has been convicted of a crime.

He was accused of falsifying business records to conceal payments of $US200,000 ($130,000) to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Furious scenes outside court as Trump is found guilty

Before the verdict was read aloud, a supporter of the former president was filmed yelling and ripping the sign from the demonstrator’s hands.

“Transsexuals for Trump!” a Trump supporter exclaimed as she grabbed a sign that read “Can you hear Trump lying?”

“Knock her down! Get out of here you b***!” yelled another Trump supporter.

The police appeared to step in and separate the couple.

Another brawl broke out when a Trump supporter wearing a “F*** Biden” sign confronted another protester, reports said Daily News.

“You’re a loser,” shouted a demonstrator.

“F*** out of here, you’re a loser!” the Trump supporter replied.

Another man holding a Trump Pride flag told the publication that some protesters were spewing some “anti-gay s***.”

“The police escorted them out of here and now they have the audacity to come back, so we will not tolerate this anymore,” he said.

“We will not put up with these bulls—from this side of the fence. If you thought January 6th was bad, wait until we’re done with you, Biden.”

A ‘staged’ trial

Mr Trump made brief comments to the media outside court, claiming the trial was “rigged” and a “disgrace”.

“It was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who is corrupt,” he said.

“The people will give the real verdict on November 5 and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here.”

He insisted that “we didn’t do anything wrong”.

“I’m a very innocent man and that’s fine, I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our constitution,” he said.

“This was done by the Biden administration to hurt or hurt an opponent, a political opponent, and I think it’s just a shame and we’re going to keep fighting. We will fight to the end and win.”

Mr Trump said the country had “gone to hell”.

“We no longer have the same country,” he said.

“We have a divided mess. We are a nation in decline, serious decline. Millions and millions of people coming into our country right now from prisons and mental institutions, terrorists. They are taking over our country. We have a country in deep trouble. But it was a rigged decision from day one with a conflicted judge who should never have been allowed to try this case. Never. And we will fight for our constitution. This is long overdue. Thank you very much.”
