Champions League final rocked as streakers strike again in Real Madrid win over Dortmund

The Champions League final was hijacked on Sunday morning when pitch invaders stormed the ground just 30 seconds after kick-off.

The three pitch attackers were able to run to the ground without the security guards reacting as the players stood around furious.

The blockbuster between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium near London has been postponed for a few minutes.

At one point, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer had to beat one of the shooters.

Farcical scenes as the strikers put the Champions League final on the pitch

It’s yet another case of pitch intruders trying to disrupt the Champions League final, with one invasion by former Sports Illustrated model Kinsey Wolanski making international headlines in 2019.

Eventually, things settled down and Real Madrid’s superstar team rallied in the second half to win 2-0.

Two late goals from Dani Carvajal and Viniciu Junior sealed the win.

The three troublemakers evaded Wembley’s heightened security operation and made their way onto the pitch – each sporting the name ‘Mellstroy’ on his shirt.

Mellstroy is a controversial Russian blogger who has been reported on social media to have offered £300,000 to anyone who would invade a pitch under his name.

The 25-year-old streamer, whose real name is Andrey Burim, was accused of going to great lengths to attract views.

He was arrested at the end of 2020 for beating model Alena Efremova in a live show.

It is currently unknown if the offer is legitimate or if all three will be paid separately or at all.

The ball was headed back to Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois before the first striker was spotted.

Television cameras immediately turned away from the event.

Both Carlo Ancelotti and Edin Terzic could only watch reluctantly as they waited for the match to resume.

One of the men who invaded the pitch tried to take a selfie with Madrid and Brazil star Vinicius Jr.

Another pitch attacker ran past Courtois before security could reach him.

When he got near the center of the circle, he was arrested by the marshals.

Former Manchester United midfielder Sabitzer helped tackle the pitching attacker on the ground.

The incident will embarrass the FA, which has invested £5m in its security operation at Wembley following past problems, including the Euro 2020 final.

Their ‘ring of steel’ included over 2,500 security guards, the most the stadium had ever seen.

Sky Sports commentator Adam Bate, who watched the scene at Wembley, said: “It’s bizarre. There was no apparent response from the stewards when the first-team striker took time out to take selfies with Bellingham and Vinicius.

“That seems to have encouraged others to try. A farce.”

Sky Sports’ Peter Smith said: “Police are out in force outside the stadium tonight to try and prevent any trouble, but it’s been a chaotic start on the pitch.

“The Reds are still dealing with a third fan who tried to get onto the pitch but didn’t even make it past the electronic bulletin boards.”

Former England striker Chris Sutton told the BBC: “From the players’ point of view, it’s about trying to stay focused and keep your mind on the job.

“You can understand their frustration, they worked so hard to get to the final, only to have people come onto the pitch at the very start.”

Security at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid in 2019 also came in for a lot of criticism when Wolanski was allowed to advertise the X-rated site as she ran onto the pitch in a skimpy swimsuit.

Wolanski was eventually revealed to be the girlfriend of controversial Youtuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy.

The blonde bombshell took to the Wanda Metropolitano pitch in a swimsuit promoting the prankster’s porn site as Liverpool were crowned champions five years ago.
